You were there,
When we were happy;

While laughing and giggling,
You were with me.

We were together,
Through everything;

Then why aren’t you here,
When I need you?

I need you the most now,
And you’re gone.

I am here. Don’t you remember your life verse? “For the Lord your God is with you WHERE EVER you go.”

Joshua 1:9. Yes God, thank you for reminding me.

Of course child, I wouldn’t leave you, when you I love you so much.

I love you, too, God. Thanks for being with me, always.

Always...

Hi, Jane! Beautiful poem. Yes, God never leaves us. :) I love it, thanks for reminding me! xD

I think I spotted a typo though.

I think you meant "through". :)

That's all! Good job!

Beautiful poem. Short, simple and sweet.

Although I do think that the second part of the poem about God seems a little bit jolting. One moment it's about 'you' who is a lover, I''m guessing? abandoning you, then it moves into God. I got a bit left behind there. Maybe you could add another stanza gradually going into more religious things?

Other than that, beautiful poem. :)

Oh wow. I love this!!!! What Wondrous Love is This....(reminds me of that song.) You pretty much explained my quote from C.S. Lewis...on my signature below.
Jesus shouts to us in our pains!
Don't walk in front of me: I may not follow
Don't walk behind me: I may not lead
Just walk beside me and hold my hand

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

May the gentle moon take you into peaceful dreams. May the mighty sun brighten your new days.

As the notifications drift in I stop and wonder. Why do they take so long? Do they have adventures we don't know about? I bet they do. When they come I will ask myself. What amazing adventure has this straggling notification been on? How far did it travel, and why didn't it take me?
