If

If you can create a world with just your words
Where sounds are bright and colors sing
And your people’s fate is what you choose,
If you can believe in what you think
And give your all and make it show,

If your favorite instrument is the pen,
And you love its scratch when it’s in use
If you can spend infinity on a single paper
And then rip it up and start anew,

If you can weave another world
Filled with chaos, love, and more,
If your greatest weapon is in your head
And you possess a skill which can’t be learned,
If you can twist one moment into a thousand words,
And breathe the life into every one,

If you can live life with your head in the clouds,
Yet always take the time to float back down,
If you can keep your style and try out others,
And still meet the standards of other people,
If you will always have a pencil handy
But always be in lack of paper,

If you are a puppet master
And words are your puppets,
If you can spin another, shining world
Where sounds are warm and colors dance,

If you can dance to the sound of lightning
And paint the sight of thunder,
Your imagination has no limits,
And you can be a writer.

HI there.

This is very good. I've never read the poem that is inspired by so I'm just judging this as an original work.

For starters, your structure is very good, if somewhat conventional. As you probably know, the four line stanza is the most common form of poetry, so you need to have some genuinely good ideas and language. You do that very well.

Also I love some of the lines in this. My favourite I think is

"If you can dance to the sound of lightning
And paint the sight of thunder,"

So good job.
I can't explain myself, I'm afraid, Sir, because I'm not myself you see.

Hey there.

This is pretty good. My only problem is the rhyme. I don't thnk it works with this poem at all. Although your subject matter and some of the lines are really nice, I just don't think rhyme works here. I recommend editing this a bit.

Besides that, good job

Hi, so, one word comes to mind when I read this. Wow. This is offficially my favorite poem in the world! You're amazing! I love how you make it all seem so elegant in a way, like you are painting a picture with your words in a way. I wish I was as talented as you. Did you write this poem to describe yourself? If so, you did an amazing job at it, and it's very accurate. Well, it's very nice and I love it. Keep writing, you're very talented. Good luck!

Hi!
I really enjoyed this poem, it was beautiful and truthful.
The length was wonderful and the title was gripping as well as the beginning paragraph.

If you can create a world with just your words
Where sounds are bright and colors sing
And your people’s fate is what you choose,
If you can believe in what you think
And give your all and make it show,

This was my favorite paragraph and I really enjoyed it. There is a lot of imagination to your words!

If you can dance to the sound of lightning
And paint the sight of thunder,
Your imagination has no limits,
And you can be a writer.

The last paragraph was amazing, it was hooking and left you wanting more!
You did a brilliant job and hope to see more like this from you soon!
If you prick us, shall we not bleed?
If you tickle us, shall we not laugh?
If you poison us, shall we not die?
If you wrong us, shall we not revenge?

What will live longer, you or your words? Something to think about the next time you abandon a project...
