First poem! Let's hope I can keep it up. I intend to just write about whatever may come to me at that moment in time :)

DAY ONE

Like The Wind

If at any moment, you feel lost,
I'm there to be your guide.
If at any second, you feel the need to cry,
I'm there to be your shoulder.
If at any moment you have a dark cloud looming above you,
I'm there to shine like the sun, and stop the rain.

For whatever reason it may be,
I shall be what you need.
But in that moment where you need nothing,
I'm exactly that; nothing.
I become like the wind,
Always there, never seen.

To not take you by surprise,
I shall warn you now.
The wind goes everywhere, and is nowhere.
Everchanging, and never still.
One morning you'll awake,
Waiting for the wind that will never come.
One day you'll see,
Everything you had, everything you needed,
All that meant anything,
Was simply me.

So I'm up. Working on a Research Paper for my English class. It's the Rough Draft but it's graded. I honestly hate rough drafts...profusely. Anyways, my brain needs a slight break from it so I figured I'd get my next poem in so I'll have it done for today! WOO! So yeah, here it is^^

DAY TWO

Save Me Now

I'm trying to remember the time,
When you used to actually care.
It's hard to remember the moments,
When you could take away my fear.

Every night I sit up in bed,
With a thousand thoughts swirling through my mind.
The memories are fading,
Everything I once knew is being left behind.

You're leaving me stranded,
Lost in my own confusion.
Save me now,
Before I fall into dilusion.

Poem #3 I wonder if anyone's reading these. Hm. Probably not. OH WELL! I'm actually remembering to write everyday! WOOT! Funny that every one I've done so far is about the same thing...or person...yeah. *ahem* Anywho, HAPPY NATIONAL POETRY MONTH! :) (Yeah, I'm going to pick random days to say that^^)

DAY THREE

Starting to Be Me

I'm breaking out of this cage.
I'm cutting the puppet strings.
You don't own me,
You don't control me.

I'm finally opening my eyes.
I'm finally seeing the light.
How could I have been so blind?
How did I let you pull me so far into the dark?

I'm glad I've woken up.
Whoever splashed that water in my face,
Did me the biggest favor.
I'm glad I can give up on you,
And start to be me.

Poem #4 Ello fellow writers. So here's my fourth poem. On my fourth day! WOOT! Uh, I don't know what it's gonna be, but it'll be something. Let's see what I come up with in the next few minutes...

DAY FOUR

Tell Me

Your facade is breaking, dear.
There is nothing you can hide from me.
To have a mask as solid as mine,
You must go through hell,
And somehow return.
Even in your darkest hours,
Nothing can compare to what I've endured.
So share with me your sorrows,
Tell me all your pain.
I'll wash away the past,
With the fresh rain of tomorrow.
Let smiles grace your beauty,
A heart like yours does not deserve to frown.

Personally...I didn't like this one very much. Not one of my best at all...oh well.

Poem #5 So I have less than half an hour to write this poem before I miss a day. I SHALL COMPLETE THE POEM!!!!!!!

DAY FIVE

Questions

You let my tears fall to the ground,
Saying nothing to stop them,
While I do whatever I can,
To never let a tear form upon your eyes.

When your heart is heavy,
And you can't smile,
I'm there trying to hold in my pain,
To diminish yours.

If I'm close to the edge,
Upon the brink of breaking,
You seem to turn a blind eye,
As if I were faking.

Let me ask you,
What did I do to deserve this?
Have I sinned?
Why must my heart be trampled on as though it were nothing?
Can't I find a drop of happiness?
Am I not allowed to smile and mean it?

You know I'd do anything to see you happy.
I'd give anything to take the weight off your shoulders.
Yet you are ignorant to everything about me.
Why can't you open your eyes,
And see that I truly do love you?

Unlock your heart.
See that no one will ever be there for you,
The way I have.

LESS THAN FIVE MINUTES TO SPARE. WOO! I'm accomplished. Oh yeah.

So, I just read all five of your poem and they are really good. My favourite was the last one. You were able to show a lot of emotion in a simplistic way. There weren't any major problems that I noticed as I read your poems, other than a few issues with the flow, but I wouldn't worry a whole lot about that for these. My only suggestion is to try and change up what you write about, because they all sound similar. It was actually kind of neat because it was like reading a story through a few poems. So, on the other hand, it's not that bad of an idea! Overall, these peoms were good and contained a lot of feeling and emotion.
Ohh and btw- that one poem that you said you didn't like, was probably my second favourite :P It was also really good!
I'd like to think I'm creative... instead of just plain weird ;D

Poem #6 Wow, I've actually come close to doing this for a whole week! WOO! Okay, so as of yesterday, it was a month until my birthday. I turn 15 IN A MONTH! AH! Doesn't have much relevance to this, but I figured I'd mention it. Hehehe. Anyways, here we go.

DAY SIX

What You Think

You think you know everything,
You believe you're so great.
Your vision is quite blurred,
You can't even recognize the hate.

Speaking of my mistakes,
Thinking only of yourself.
Telling me I'm too imperfect,
Expecting me to be someone else.

What you think,
Is not what you know.
Who I am,
To you, is unknown.

TA-DA.

Poem #7 OFFICIAL: ONE WEEK COMPLETE! Can I do this for the rest of the month? We shall see...

DAY SEVEN

Drowning

Ever feel like the world is closing in around you?
As though there is no escape?
It's like you're drowning,
And everyone just stands back watching.
No one bothers to throw you a life jacket,
No one thinks about trying to save you.
They all take your last few moments of sanity,
To think about what you can do for them,
Never once contemplating what they could do for you.

Your eyes search helplessly for one soul,
One heart that wants you to remain you.
One heart that needs to save you.
But there's no spark,
No light in this dark abyss.

As you fall deeper into this bottomless pit,
You drown in the problems.
All that echos about you,
Are the words of others,
The problems of loved one,
The lives of all but your own.
Everything is so strange,
Yet so familiar.
To be among what is not you,
Has been the life you've lived,
But was it the life you wanted?

If you died tonight,
Would you be satisfied that you gave your life,
For everyone else,
Not caring once about yourself?

Not a great flow but...its just a flow of thoughts. A friend of mine just recently sent me some lyrics he wrote, and it got me thinking. That's the inspiration behind this. If you can really call this much. Eh..whatever.

Poem #8 Ever feel like you're in the wrong skin? Like you're looking at the world through someone else's eyes and its...disturbing? Its odd...feeling unlike who you are.

DAY EIGHT

Falling Into The Sky

Who I once was,
Is not who I now am.
Who I am not,
Is not who I shall be.
Why am I always changing?
It feels like I'm falling out of the sky.
Its like drowing in sky,
Not being able to breathe,
Even when all that surrounds you is air.
Clouds represent your loose grip on reality.
They're always there,
But they can disappear within moments.
How much can you float into the sky,
Without loosing who you are?
Is it possible to fly,
Where there are no clouds?
Can you live,
Without sensing reality?

I don't know what this was. I don't really know what it is. So yeah.

Poem #9 HEY PEOPLE. NINE POEMS! WOOOOOT! So this is my last full week of school. Next week I go in Monday and Tuesday then SPRING BREAK. I've got off Wednesday the 20th, to Monday the 25th. I get to go back on one of my best friends' birthdays! He's so ticked haha. Anywho, here's my poem.

POEM NINE

Nighttime Rain

Staring out a window,
Looking into the darkness,
All I see is nothing,
All I hear is rain.
Droplets whisper secrets,
Puddles echo names.
I watch the sky cry all through the night,
I hear its pain through thunderclaps.
The wind whips the tears around,
Banging up against my window,
Trying to get my attention.
My dreamlike state sees creatures unknown,
Hears sounds never heard,
Feels things untouchable.
My mind wanders into Wonderland,
Only awakening as the sun rises bright,
Shining sunlight into my eyes,
And warming my frozen heart.
I breathe in the last remnants of that peaceful nighttime rain,
Waking up finally to the reality I escape from each night.

Poem #10 HOLY FUDGE! I wrote this poem last night, I SWEAR. I just fell asleep before I could post it in the forum thingy. BLEH. So here it is.

DAY TEN

Dark Angel

Dark angel, turn to me,
Whisper ever so silently,
Sing that sweet sinful melody.
Pull me to your soul for eternity.
Shine those entrancing eyes,
Keep me hypnotized,
Let my mind wander and fantasize,
If this may be a dream, never let me rise.
Dark angel, reveal that you are,
Nothing bright nor pure from the stars,
But a black soul masked from afar.

This was written on paper, then I looked down and realized that I wrote it. My subconsious took control and wrote this. The purpose, inspiration...none of it I can tell you. All I can say it that it's written. Somehow and someway.

Poem #11 HIYA! So I'm just going to bulk this with number ten since today is the eleventh day of me writing poetry for the month. HOW AWESOME IS THAT. Now lets see what I can some up with.

DAY ELEVEN

Everyday you inch farther and farther away from me,
Who you are is not who you once were.
It feels like you're fading into oblivion,
Seems like you're falling into the dark.
The distance between us is evergrowing,
The lives we live are everchanging.
Am I supposed to be able to understand,
Why all you do is turn your back on me?
How did we go from being stuck like glue,
To not being able to decipher one another at all?
I'm loosing you so quickly,
I should learn to get over it.
But how do I get over it when you change your mind all the time?
When something clicks in that head of yours,
When the light is suddenly flickered on,
You jump back to my side,
As though you've been there all along.

My poetry lately feels like its been with a freaky rhyme scheme. Random words will rhyme while others will have no relation. Not an ear rhyme nor an eye rhyme throughout the poem. ODD. But oh well. I just write whats on my mind each day and if you haven't noticed, they tend to connect. Considering they all relate to the same person(all but Dark Angel), they should be alike. Haha, maybe I should let him read these...Nah, that wouldn't be a good idea. Oh well, BYE NOW.

Poem #12 So I kind of didn't write anything yesterday. I was working from like an hour after I got home from school to about 10:30....BLEH. Then my internet was acting up when I got home. But I do have an idea for a few poems now. I'm going to write two for today so my poem count matches with the day number. Anywho, we're learning about Shakespearean Sonnets in English class right now so I figured I'd try my hand at one of those. Three Quartrains and a rhyming couplet! I'm quite proud of myself. :)

DAY THIRTEEN

In My Eyes

Are thou not an angel sent from above?
It took no more than one glance,
For your eyes to make me fall in love.
Shall you give me a chance?
With a guarded heart, under lock and key,
Acting as though everyone is out to hurt you,
You shall destroy all that we could be.
Thou shall not see that the love I hold is true.
But why does one such as yourself,
One so full of vibrancy,
Shy away, keeping so close to oneself,
As if when you find someone to love, they'd look upon you blindly?
You're illuminating, like a star in the night sky,
And your soul, shines just as vividly in my eyes.

Poem #13

Wrong

How am I supposed to act,
When you change your mind like night and day?
One moment I'm everything to you,
The next its as though I don't exisit.
Can't you decide?
My heart has been hurt countless times already,
Finding out you've been leading me on would be devestating.
Everyone thinks you're worthless,
Everyone but me.
Don't prove me wrong.

I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THAT WAS. Like I'm reading it over right now and it sucks. A LOT. Haha, oh well...thats what I came up with. It's giving me a slight idea but I think my mind has died from writing that sonnet. I have no clue how Shakespeare wrote 154 of those.

DAY SEVENTEEN So kill me...haven't written anything since saturday. FOUR DAYS! AHHH! This is bad. Umm...sorry? BLEH. I'm not going to write four now though...probably try for two tomorrow. Today was the first day of spring-break for me. Slept in, hung out with some friends, enjoyed the beautiful weather. :) Anyways, POEM!

Poem #14

Since When

How did I suddenly become the villain?
Since when did loving you,
Caring about you,
Being there every moment you needed me,
Become a bad thing?
One day I have something to do,
And I'm automatically the one at fault.
You don't even love me,
But you're so lost without me.
What would you do if I left?
If I left you for good, forever?
Is there anyway you could survive?
Or would you collaspe upon yourself?
Better yet...would you find me,
And pull me down with you?
