Months passed, the only thing mom seemed to notice was my large stomach. One day I confronted her about it. "What?" It was just about the only thing I'd said to her since Rylee raped me.
She snapped her head around, as if she hadn't realized that I might acctually have seen the looks she'd sent my way. I just looked at her, expecting an answer. "You're getting big." She spoke of the obvious, "And your not scared!" The question seemed more like a surprize. "I was scared with you and Zac!" Zac, we never spoke of Zac. His name rumbled through my ears. The sound hurt so badly. My baby brother. The one younger than me, who I cared so much about. Gone, off into the sky never to return. I shook my head and turned away from my mother, I didn't want to remember that day. I waddled away the way people do when their pregnant, only it felt wrong, because of my age, 'Your only 15 Kiley!" Anna had screamed the day when I'd returned to school. Normally people would shoot the pregnant kids rude looks. For me they were eyes of sympathy, sorrow for the pain of bearing a child of rapism.
"The bus is gonna come soon." Mom pushed me, realizing she'd brought back thoughts of Zac. She helped me up off the seat and handed me my cell phone. "You are to keep this with you all day." She'd gone through this with me before. "The time is coming and I want to be there." I nooded and turned away ready to face another day of embarassment. I hobbled out the door and the bus arrived about the same time as I reached the end of our long driveway.
Some rude kids on the back of the bus started shouting at me. I wiped the single tear that drifted down my cheek away and sat down, hiding my sadness inside me.

"Are you Ok?" Anna picked up my math book from the ground and helped me to class.
"Yeah," I craddled the baby inside my stomach. "Just cramps." Together we walked down the hall to Mr.Rinnle's Room. The bell rang just as Anna shut the door.
"Please take your seats." Mr. Rinnel walked to the board and picked up a peice of chalk. He began sketching problems around the board. When he turned around, his eyes locked inside mine, "Kiley, are you all right?"
"Yes," Sweat dripped down my face and I quickly wipped it away. Everyone turned in their desks and looked at me.
"I'm not so sure about that, Anna take her to the nurse please." He waved at her and turned back to the board, explaining the numbers sprawled across it.
Anna and I walked down the hallways in an occward silence.
"Hey girls!" The nurse greeted us as we walked in. "Kiley!" She yelled when she saw the sweat running down my face. She led me to the hard bed to sit and raced to the phone.
A few minutes later mom was at the school. She took me into the parking lot and into her car. Anna followed us, as I had requested.
The car ride seemed to last hours, but in reality, it only took a couple of minutes.
"Hey Kiley." Dr.Harris asked I pulled my legs appart. "Your 4 centimeters dialated, looks like the baby's coming today.
Fear filled up my head, I wished I'd listened to mom and gotten an abortion, but now I was feeling it all, and under that pressure, I passed out.
