A beam of light
Searches the night
As a stalker
Silently creeps
I hide behind a shed
I see yellow on the lawn
Hood goes up
A light is on me
Cloak billows out
I dash into the open
I hear a shout
It's not my name
I keep running
Adrenaline pumping
I dash behind a tree
What a rush
Someone it there
It's only Eddy
As quietly as possible
I suck in air
As I tell him
"Don't go over there"
Around the house
We dash to the fence
Little Abner floats on the air
My whistle returns the call
I run to the swingset and
"JAILBREAK!"

Good poem. I loved the ending the most.

You know, I never particularily cared for this style but you're actually pretty darn unique. I can tell that you don't allow yourself to be influenced by other writers...your stuff is quite original as far as I can see.
when there's nowhere to go, it's time to grow up.

It's great, it's the most exciting poem I've read in a long, long time...not that I've read many poems in a long, long time :? But it's great, flows excellently, the beat just thrusts it forward, and the ending is awesome.

So many memories! I guess I'm biased because I know all the fun attached to this poem, but I really like it!!! Yay you!
Never interrupt your enemy when he's making a mistake... unless it's to remind him that he won't fail... he just won't kill you.

Almost all absurdity of conduct rises from the imitation of those whom we cannot resemble.
— Samuel Johnson
