This is a poem about a child. It means alot to me so I hope you like it.

This Child's Hands

This child's hands hold the world
This child's mind sees it unfurled
She sees it in all it's innocence
She sees it as it was meant
She sees this earth as one big playground
But she'll never cry when she falls down
She is stronger than I
When I fall I cry
This child's hands fit in my own
Yet this world is her's and her's alone
I'm torn between my two loves writing and singing. I don't know which path to choose and I'm forever lost in this...

This poem is really nice. :D It aptly captures the innocence of a child to the horrors of the world around us. A poignant, moving poem.
Bright is the ring of words
When the right man rings them,
Fair the fall of songs
When the singer sings them.
Still they are carolled and said -
On wings they are carried-
After the singer is dead
And the maker buried.

Robert Louis Stevenson

Yeah, I agree. Good rhyming, not forced at all, short and sweet. Good job.
Matt.

Very good! I like it lots!
Except...
:)
But she'll never cry when she falls down

A child? Never cry when she falls down? I just don't think that to be a very believable statement.
Maybe it was meant to mean something that went over my head... most likely :P

Mkay, keep writing (keep singing too!) :)

Thank you all. I'm glad you all like it. And that line doesn't mean actually falling down it means a failure and it means that the child won't cry when faced with a failure. so the 2 lines after that (She is stronger than I. When I fall I cry) makes more sense. The child won't cry when met with a failure but I will.

And I will keep writing and singing. Thanks for all the encouragement
