This one's for the real people,
not the plastic figurines,
painted faces,
sucked out stomachs,
this ain't for you.

This is for the ugly people,
the ones who think they need it
when they don't,
the ones who've been pushed
and never gotten up.

This is for the gingers,
the blonds,
the pale and the tan.
It's only hair,
it's only skin.
Shut out the lies,
kill the stereotypes,

This is for the emos,
the goths,
the nerds,
the dorks,
I'll label nothing,
you are who you are
and no one should change that.

This is for the women,
the men,
the children
and the teens.
When you have something to say,
say it!
There is no age,
there is no gender,
not in the soul,
not in the mind.

This is for the romantics,
the awkward
and the shy,
love is love,
and it matters not to me
who you find it in
so long as you find it.

This is for the believers,
the sacred,
the embodied,
the lost,
believe what you do,
so long as you've got something,
so long as you have a will.

This is for the rebels,
the fighters,
the tortured
and the saved.
Never stop fighting,
never give up.
so long as it's a cause
you swear to die for.

And this is for the fallen,
the broken spirits,
the shattered minds,
the decaying bodies.
Keep holding on,
keep clinging to life!
'Cause there is no beauty,
there is no rich,
there is no poor,
there is no gender,
there is no young,
there is no old,
there is no dark,
there is no light.

There is only life and love,
and giving up now
is giving up the only absolutes.

No one,
not a single soul,
dies unloved.

Keep living on,
live through it all,
don't you EVER give up!

'Cause This one's for you.
I dream by day.

I like this! I enjoyed the concept and the message. Sounds like it could actually be made into a song if you word it right and have a smooth rhyme scheme/rhythm to it.

Good job and keep writing!

OMG !!! When i read your poem, i felt as if you were talking to me. I like the repetition. I love the way you did your stanzas, the way you made your message compact, but loud. I loved it all ! It...kind of gives me hope :)
Oh and i liked the beginning. It was humourous :D
"Plastic Figurine">> The metaphor is awesome. What you mean by that term is obvious. I loved that too. :)

How can I be king of the world? Because I am king of rubbish. And rubbish is what the world is made of.
