Happy Valentines Day YWS! These are prompts I got from people on chat. They picked two numbers from 1-10 and 3 items and I wrote something based on that. I tried to make them sweet, Valentines Day ones. Your gift is the stories I wrote for the prompts! I have dedicated the stories to you the reader.

1. Prompt: 7(Barista boy[Carmelo]),3(Panda Girl[Raline]) cat, toe, sausage

She was the cute girl who always came in at 7 o'clock sharp. She always managed to remember his name.
"Hey Carmelo," she'd call as she walked up to the counter. Her breakfast order was always the same. A cup of coffee, caramel, with a plate of sausages. It took him three weeks to ask for her name.

"Raline," she had said, " my name's Raline." He thought it suited her. She was strong and didn't even scream when the door had nearly sliced off her toe one fiery, Monday morning. Once she'd even brought her cat in. A quiet, little thing that watched him with slanted eyes as he made her coffee. He knew many things about her and wished he could know more. He wonders if he'll ever get the courage to ask her out.

2. 8(Crane), 4(Zane), coffee, headphones, camera

He always makes sure to take the morning shift just incase she comes around. She was currently staying with Seres along with her brother Wolf. She'd walk in, take the sky-blue headphones out of her ears and order a cup of coffee. He wishes he could personally make the coffee for her, but the last time he tried he had nearly burnt the shop down again.

Zane blinked when the flash went off in his face.
"Sorry," Idra laughed, " I couldn't help it. The look on your face…"
Zane just rolls his eyes; he's used to Idra's antics.
"Go away, I'm waiting for someone."
Idra's grin widens further and she plunks herself down on the counter beside him.
"You're waiting for Crane," she sings.
"What? No!"
Idra's grin widens. "Why else would you be up at five in the morning?"
"I took the morning shift," Zane protested weakly. They both glanced towards the door when it opened. Crane was standing there, headphones in her ears and she was blushing.
Zane and Idra traded looks. Did she hear us?
" Zane," she said softly as she made walked over to them, "can I ask you something?'
Idra slid off of the counter and clasped Zane's shoulder. " Remember what I said!"
You didn't tell me anything, Zane wanted to scream. Instead he turned back to Crane and put on his best smile. "Ask away"
"See ya later Crane," Idra said as she sauntered away.
"Ok," Crane called after her.
"Well," Zane pushed himself off of the counter, " what did you want to ask me?"
"I was wondering if you wanted to go to a movie with me," she said in a rush.
"Pardon?" Zane wasn't sure he heard her right.
"Do you want to go see a movie with me?"
Zane grinned, "Yes, I'll pick you up at eight?"
She nods and orders her coffee. Ha, Idra mouths as he goes to get her order, about time you two went on a date. Zane just rolled his eyes.

3. 5(Deucalion), 9(Idra), cheese, socks, sweets

On their first date, Deucalion gave Idra socks. She had stared at him and raised an eyebrow.
"Are you seriously giving me socks on our first date?"
"They were on sale…," he had offered meekly. She had snorted and tossed the socks at him.
"Come back when you get a better gift," she had said as she chased him out of the house.

On their second date, he had given her gourmet cheese. She had stared at him, sighed and took the gift.
"It's better than socks," she had said as she popped a piece into her mouth.

On their third date, he gave her chocolate.
"Too cliché," she had said and had shoved the box in his face.

On the tenth date he had given her a book full of crossword puzzles. She had stared at it, but had taken the book anyway.
"You know, you really suck at giving gifts."
He had blushed and mumbled a sorry while staring at his feet.
"But," she had tilted his chin up and kissed him. " I love you anyway," she had said when they had broken apart.

Now, fifteen years later they were married and he had gotten her a packet of cotton swabs.
"I should divorce you for this," she said as she took them.
"...sorry," he said meekly.
She sighed, set the packet aside and pulled him into a kiss. "How about I buy my own gifts from now on?" Dazed, he could do nothing but nod.

4. Since carbon gave me all of this prompt, it's dedicated to carbon. 6(Hiram), (Panda Girl[Raline]), mailbox, needle, scroll of parchment

The first gift that Raline got in the mailbox was a scroll of parchment. Raline didn't know who sent it; there was no return address. She gathered it up with the rest of the mail and went back inside the house. She set the parchment aside, on the counter, where it lay until she had finished cleaning the house.

Then she picked it back up and delicately unrolled it. There was a map on it. Her house, her neighborhood and her workplace all neatly drawn in ink. The compass rose was her favorite. A crescent shaped moon with a double sided arrow bisecting it. There was a compass needle pointing south, towards the lake, near her house. Follow the needle, read the map.

Raline shrugged. It wasn't like she had anything else to do. Her boyfriend-Hiram- was out of town on business. Getting her purse, she turned off the lights, locked the house and set off towards the lake. Getting there she found her second gift, another scroll of parchment with the lake inked upon it.
Get to the island, the map read. The island was in the center of the lake. She would have to row to get there. Raline smiled, remembering when she and Hiram had rowed to the island in the middle of the night to picnic under the stars.

Getting to the dock, Raline found a rowboat waiting for her with a small package inside. She stepped inside and carefully separated the , lily patterned, paper from the box underneath. How does this person know my favorite flower? She opened the box and drew out the necklace she had been eying for the past week. Who? Raline had a feeling she knew who was doing all this. I thought he was out of town!

Raline put the necklace on and then unhooked the boat from the dock and rowed to the island. She anchored the boat and stepped onto the shore to find her fourth gift waiting for her. It was another scroll of parchment which she eagerly picked up and unrolled. This time the needle pointed to the center of the island. You're almost there! Raline smiled and headed towards the center.

The center of the island was a small clearing with a shrine nestled at the base of an old, oak, tree. Raline remembered the place fondly. It was where she had kissed Hiram after all. Raline rounded the bend and there was Hiram waiting for her with a smile on his face and a small box clutched in his right hand.

"Hiram!" Raline ran to meet him.
"Hey" Hiram smiled, "I got back from my trip early."
"You didn't have to do all this." Raline gestured at the necklace. Hiram laughed.
"I wanted to," he said and got down on one knee, " I want to ask you something." He held the box out to her and opened it. Inside lay a single, white band. Raline sucked in a breath.
"Raline," Hiram began, "I've loved you ever since I saw you perform at the Flying Fish. Will you stick with me forever by becoming my wife?" Raline burst into laughter. Hiram gave her a confused look.
"You could have just asked me to marry you, silly," Raline said as she kneeled beside him and slipped the ring on her finger.
"Is that a yes," Hiram asked hesitantly. Raline snorted and kissed him.
"I took the ring didn't I," she asked, drawing back to look at him.
"You could have just liked the ring," Hiram said feebly. Raline rolled her eyes.
"Yes, I'll marry you idiot," she said and kissed him again.

Nice, Id, I especially like the second one. So sweet. <3 Happy Valentine's Day!

That was really cute! I like how you based it off of something totally random, and it still turned out good! I liked the funny presents though! I can just imagine someone giving me socks on the first date, just because they were on sale! That was really creative, funny, and cute! Nice job! :)

I laughed when I read all of theses stories. The one about the gifts was my favorite.I love how you joined seemingly random objects and things and managed to tie them together. Great work!

Hi! Teardrop here. First of all, these are all really sweet! I loved the one with the gifts. I thought that you could have added more details, but I thought this was really good!
Thanks for entering!

And are the doctors dancing in, while the ambulances sing. Another boy without a sharper knife. The moment, that's where I kill the conversation, wrap this up with a knife that loves to feel. How do you know how deep to go before it's real?

Alright, so, did you know I hate Valentines day? Anyway, being in my nature, I found these more sappy then sweet. I'm sorry, I'm negative.
The first two were short, and I didn't get much emotion from either of them, when I knew they were supposed to be romantic. I'd suggest digging deeper into your characters, and finding out what they truly feel and then conveying that to the readers. In that sense, the third was better, but you still need to work on that a bit.
Also, for the first two, add more detail and description to bring your reader in.

Good start
