Chapter 12

I didn't even bother going to my locker before trying to find him, I had to find him. I practically ran out of Theatre and out of the building. Once I was outside my eyes scanned the campus as I continued to run. He had to be out here.

All of a sudden I saw him coming from the guy's locker room. As soon as I saw him I couldn't think of anything but being with him. "Jason!" I screamed as I ran into his shocked arms.

"Oh my god! Jason I'm so sorry! I didn't mean a word I said!" I rambled as tears started to fall down my face, tears of happiness.

"Allie?" Jason asked. I pulled away from his chest and looked up into his amazing eyes and saw how confused he was. A look I could not decipher crossed over Jason's face but then realization passed over his face. I heard Jason moan my name as he pulled my lips to his.

I didn't care that the whole school was around or that practically everyone I knew was staring at us. This was where I was supposed to be, with Jason. I kissed Jason back loving every minute of it. I wrapped my arms around Jason's neck pulling myself closer to him, deepening the kiss.

Jason was the one who had to break the kiss, but when he did he didn't let me go far. He wrapped his arms around me and pulled me close against his chest and whispered something that sounded like "I'm never letting you go again." But I wasn't one hundred percent sure.

The next thing he said was a little clearer. "You're not riding the bus today." He said grinning as he pulled me back so he could look at me.

"You don't have to tell me twice. Let me just call my mom and tell her." I said reaching for the phone in my back pocket.

Jason started to pull his phone out of his pocket but stopped when he saw me pulling out mine. "When did you get a phone?" Jason asked knowing that at the end of last semester I didn't have one.

"At Christmas," I said as I dialed my mommy's number.

"Why didn't you tell me yesterday?" Jason asked sounding offended.

"I guess I forgot. Sorry." I apologized trying to sound sweet.

"It's ok," Jason asked as he twirled a strand of my hair between his fingers while I waited for my mom to answer.

I looked up at Jason and grinned as my mom answered her cell. "Hey mommy. I'm not riding the bus today. I'm getting a ride home with a friend. Ok. Love you too. Bye."

"So I'm 'just a friend?'" Jason asked really sounding offended.

"No of course not. I just need to break it to my parents carefully." I said trying to make the words come out right.

Jason took my hand and led me to his truck. He opened my door for me and then got in on his side. When Jason got in he started the truck but then turned to face me.

"So what was with you and Jared?" Jason asked.

I looked over at Jason and noticed the look on his face was one of pure loathing. I didn't want to tell him but I had to. "Umm . . . .I found out that Jared liked me and. . . .umm I didn't know what to do . . . .I needed to think about some stuff . . .." I said trying not to make Jason even madder.

I glanced over at Jason and noticed that his hands were balled into fists and his tendons were showing in his arms from the exertion. "Don't do that to me again. Please. Today has been a very long day." Jason said with agony in his voice and a pleading look on his face.

I hated myself for doing that to him. I slid over next to him and rested my head on his shoulder. He responded by wrapping his arm me and gently pressed his lips to my forehead.

I wanted to change the subject, to do anything to erase the agony from Jason's face. "How do you have a truck? I thought y'all totaled it."

Jason laughed at my subtle change of subject but it worked. The agony was erased from his face except from his eyes. "We were in Will's truck. So his truck was totaled"

"How is Will doing?" I asked concerned.

"He's doing ok I guess. He had some brain swelling but it went down. He should be out of the hospital in a few days." I could tell how much Jason cared for his brother and how worried he was about him.

Jason smiled and turned to face the wheel. He backed out of the parking lot and headed towards my house. The ride was fairly quiet as I leaned against him listening to his heartbeat. As I was sitting there I was thinking about how much Jason meant to me.

When we pulled up to my house I turned to Jason and asked "Jason do you want to meet my parents?" fearing his answer.

"Sure," Jason answered slightly shocked.

I opened my door and dragged Jason out of the truck. We walked up the sidewalk to my front door and into my house. We walked into the living room where my parents were.

My daddy's eyes flickered to Jason’s intertwined fingers and mine before looking at me. Somehow I managed to find my voice to say the seven most lethal words in the English language. "Mom, Dad this is Jason, my boyfriend."

In that moment I could swear I saw my daddy's eyes flicker towards his gun. I could almost read my daddy's thought and I was pretty sure that most of them were illegal.

Chapter 13

That night I lay in bed thinking about my day. Every thirty seconds, or so, Jason interrupted me with a text but that didn't stop my train of thought. My mind especially kept thinking about this afternoon.

*It turns out my dad didn't even threaten Jason; on the contrary he seemed to like him. They had talked for close to thirty minutes before my mom reminded my dad they had to go grocery shopping. Before they left Jason asked for permission to take me go eat, like the gentleman that he is. My dad said yes so Jason and I went to DQ.

It was nice to be with Jason under pleasant circumstances and I enjoyed every minute of it. Jason ordered a hamburger while I just ordered a blizzard. Jason looked at me funny when I ordered what I did and I just glanced up at him and asked, "What?"

"Nothing," Jason grinned back.

We went and found a secluded booth and sat and talked for close to an hour. I glanced at a clock and noticed the time, i turned to Jason and asked, "Do you want to come to church with me?"

"Sure," he answered quickly, before taking my hand and going out to his truck.

We got into his truck and I gave Jason directions on how to get to my church. Jason took the whole night with good grace and I had an amazing time.

When we got to my church we got out of the truck and walked into the youth building, holding hands. Everyone was down stairs when we walked in so we found an empty couch and sat on it. All of my friends were really nice to Jason and kept telling him hi. James and Noah, two guys from Skidmore, were there so Jason at least knew someone.

After a few minutes Mike, our youth pastor, arrived so we could go upstairs. Jason stayed around me the whole evening no matter how much I tried to get him to hang out with some other guys. He just stood there next to me, almost protectively; he would drape his arm across my shoulder and just smiled.

Eventually my three best friends from Beeville walked in, Graham, Kelly and LeAnne. All three of them knew who Jason was and how much I liked him. At the Halloween carnival Roz had let it slip that I liked Jason. As it turns out Graham knew who he was and never let me forget that he knew.

When Graham saw Jason he just grinned and came over to talk to us. "So Allie, who's this?" Graham asked with a mischievous smile on his face.

"Graham this is Jason, Jason Graham." I said motioning between them.

They both said 'hey' to each other, and then to my dismay Graham opened his big mouth. "So you're who Allie is always talking about." Graham said, and I could practically see the little horns poking through his red hair.

Jason gave me a smug look but didn't say anything. I barely noticed, I was too busy glaring daggers at Graham. I was about to tear his eyes out when Mike came to Graham's rescue, telling us to go sit down so we could get started.

I had a very hard time paying attention to Mike with Jason's leg being inches away from mine. Luckily Mike's lesson was short and the time passed quickly. Once Mike was done Jason took my hand and led me outside to his truck.

Once we were in his truck Jason turned to me with a cocky grin on his face and asked, "So you talk about me?"

"Graham found out that I liked you and ever since has bugged me about it......." I said defensively, before Jason interrupted me with a kiss.
I wrapped my arms around his neck loving his rude interruption. After a few minutes Jason broke the kiss but then lightly kissed my lips again, then my forehead then finally the tip of my nose. Jason just grinned at me as he started the truck. He wrapped his arms around my shoulder pulling me close to him.

The ride to my house was quiet but not in an awkward way. I leaned against his chest listening to his heartbeat and smelling his cologne. When we pulled into my driveway Jason stopped the truck and we just sat there a minute. Jason ran his fingers through my hair as he lightly pressed his lips to my forehead. I didn't want to break this moment but I knew I had to go inside.

"Jason, I gotta go." I whispered against his chest.

"Ok," Jason said as we got out of the truck.

Jason walked me to the front door, and before he let me go inside he leaned down and kissed me again. My hands moved to his neck automatically deepening the kiss. Our lips moved together in synchronization before Jason moved just far enough away that our lips wouldn't touch. "Night," Jason whispered, his lips lightly brushing mine as he spoke before he turned and went back to his truck.

I stayed on the porch watching him drive away before turning to go back inside. I walked into the living room to find my parents waiting for me. After a quick reassurance of where I'd been I went to go take a shower. When I got out I went to my room and checked my phone to find a missed message from Jason. *

Jason and I have bee texting none stop for the past five hours now. I glance at the clock and realize that it's two in the morning. It is way past the time I would normally have been in bed. I am waiting on a text but my eyes have gotten heavy. I blinked but forgot how to open them and drifted off to sleep. If I would have read Jason's reply I would have read 'I love you.' The perfect end to a not so perfect day.

Hello Allie, I'm here for another review!
Spoiler
Chapter 12

I didn't even bother going to my locker before trying to find him, I had to find him. I practically ran out of Theater and out of the building. Once I was outside my eyes scanned the campus as I continued to run. He had to be out here comma he just had too. I added this little part. I think it makes it a little bit more dramatic, and helps the reader feel her emotions. :)

A look I could not decipher crossed over Jason's face but then realization hit him. I though it was a little bit repetitive. I heard Jason moan my name as he pulled my lips to his.

I didn't care that the whole school was around or that practically everyone I knew was staring at us. This was where I was supposed to be, with Jason. I kissed Jason back comma loving every minute of it. I wrapped my arms around Jason's neck comma pulling myself closer to him, deepening the kiss.

Jason was the one who had to break away, but when he did he didn't let me go far. He wrapped his arms around me and pulled me close against his chest comma whispering something that sounded like "I'm never letting you go again." But I wasn't one hundred percent sure.

The next thing he said was a little clearer. "You're not riding the bus todaycomma" he said comma grinning as he pulled me back so he could look at me. A little hint here. When there's more then one verb in a sentence, there is normally a comma between the two. Example: I laughed at him, pointing in his direction. See the comma between the two parts?

"You don't have to tell me twice. Let me just call my mom and tell hercomma" I said comma reaching for the phone in my back pocket.

Jason started to pull his phone out of his pocket but stopped when he saw me pulling out mine. "When did you get a phone?" Jason asked, probably remembering the end of last semester comma when I didn't have one. I changed this sentence as well... Hope you don't mind?

"At Christmas," I said as I dialed my mommy's number.

"Why didn't you tell me yesterday?" Jason asked comma sounding offended.

"I guess I forgot. Sorrycomma" I apologized comma trying to sound sweet.

"It's ok," he replied as he twirled a strand of my hair between his fingers while I waited for my mom to answer.

I looked up at Jason and grinned as my mom answered her cell. "Hey mommy. I'm not riding the bus today. I'm getting a ride home with a friend. Ok. Love you too. Bye."

"So I'm 'just a friend?'" Jason asked comma really sounding offended.

"No comma of course not. I just need to break it to my parents carefully comma" I tried to make the words come out right. I feel like there's too much 'I said' 'he said'... Does that still work?

Jason took my hand and led me to his truck. He opened my door for me and then got in on his side. When Jason got in he started the truck but then turned to face me. It's already the end of the day? Either I missed something and just don't remember that it truly is, or that it got by really fast... I'm not sure. It might be just me because I have a tendency to forget things easily. :)

"So what was with you and Jared?" Jason asked.

I looked over at Jason and noticed the look on his face was one of pure loathing. I didn't want to tell him but I had to. "Umm . . . I found out that Jared liked me and. . . umm I didn't know what to do . . . I needed to think about some stuff . . ." I said comma trying not to make Jason even madder. She was trying? Or not trying?

I glanced over at Jason and noticed that his hands were balled into fists and his tendons were showing in his arms from the exertion. "Don't do that to me again. Please. Today has been a very long day comma" Jason said with agony in his voice and a pleading look on his face. It's so hot when guys do that... I mean, when they flex and bite down with anger.

I hated myself for doing that to him. I slid over next to him and rested my head on his shoulder. He responded by wrapping his arm around me and gently pressed his lips to my forehead.

I wanted to change the subject, to do anything to erase the agony from Jason's face. "How do you have a truck? I thought y'all totaled it."

"How is Will doing?" I asked comma concerned.

"He's doing ok I guess. He had some brain swelling but it went down. He should be out of the hospital in a few days comma" I could tell how much Jason cared for his brother and how worried he was about him. Will's his brother?

Jason smiled and turned to face the wheel. He backed out of the parking lot and headed towards my house. The ride was fairly quiet as I leaned against him comma listening to his heartbeat. As I was sitting there comma I thought about how much Jason meant to me.

When we pulled up to my house comma I turned to Jason and asked comma "Jason do you want to meet my parents?" fearing his answer.

Is it the same thing that I'm thinking? Because I'm not 100% sure I want my first 'date' to be at Dairy Queen... ;)

It was nice to be with Jason under pleasant circumstances and I enjoyed every minute of it. Jason ordered a hamburger while I just ordered a blizzard. Jason looked at me funny when I ordered what I did and I just glanced up at him and asked, "What?"

I feel like I've already read that part... Maybe try to rephrase it so it means the same thing, but it's not the exact same words? Our lips moved together in synchronization before Jason moved just far enough away that our lips wouldn't touch. "Night," Jason whispered, his lips lightly brushing mine as he spoke before he turned and went back to his truck.

The perfect end to a not so perfect day.

I don't know if I told you the trick to catch your mistakes... It works really well with punctuation and typos. I'm not going to explain it all, since it's really late here, plus, I'm not sure if I already told you. But this would really help you, since punctuation is you're major mistake, and I know that with a little time to correct, this could be awesome. :) I know you are probably busy, and it takes a lot of time to do corrections, but trust me, it's worth it. ;)

Keep on going, I'm looking forward to the next chapter!
