CHAPTER FOUR
Afternoon
"You can't blame him, the guy's handsome." Sandy smiled as she licked the ice cream in her ice cream cone. Naddie rolled her eyes as she licked her own ice cream.
"He invited me for lunch then, when these girls came, he told them that he's not going away! Is he insulting me?" Naddie scoffed.
Sandy stood by the sliding door and decided to walk to the terrace of Naddie's suite. She patted her shoulder.
"I thought you don't like him? What's the jealousy all about?" she teased.
Naddie turned to look at her. "Stop teasing me like that. You know what I really feel for him."
Sandy nodded. "How funny, no? You are 22-years old, but you need an 18-years old girl to pamper you at these times."
Naddie looked at her. "It wasn't funny. It's embarrassing, girl. You should be the one who's asking advices from me."
"Nah." Sandy embraced her. "I don't have a love life, so be thankful that I don't need your advices about that yet."
She smiled at Sandy. "What do you think can I ever do to make him seriously love me?"
Sandy looked at her eyes. "You don't have to do anything. Let love alone, be the one to provide you the man that will love you, Naddie."
Naddie nodded. "But how if it wasn't Marky?"
"Don't fret, if it wasn't my cousin, I'm sure that God will provide you a better man."
She smiled and embraced Sandy.
"Where have you been?" Belinda told Veronica as she went back to their employee's quarters. She quickly took her clothes from her cabinet and rushed inside the bathroom.
"Hey! Would you mind to answer me, Ronnie?" Belinda talked as she knocked at the door of the bathroom.
"From the beach! Didn't you see me wearing a swimsuit?" Ronnie replied as she took a bath.
"Why are you there? You're supposed to be at the receptionist area."
Ronnie dressed up and went out wearing her working uniform and that smile on her face.
"What's with that smile?" Belinda got more curious.
"I'm in love, Belinda," she said as she sat on the side of the bed, beside the blonde waitress who works on an ice cream parlor.
"In love? With whom?" she asked excitedly.
"Mark Andres Federal," she said proudly.
"Federal? Oh,my gosh, Ronnie! You don't know what you're getting yourself into! He's rich, we're poor. He's heaven and we're hell!"
Ronnie rolled her eyes. "So what? He's a kind-hearted man who didn't care about that."
"Hah. How sure were you, Veronica Celoza?" Belinda said in challenging tone.
"He kissed me on the cheek," she grinned.
Belinda was shocked but as she recovered from that, she smirked. "Wearing a sexy swimsuit as you showed up to him? Hah. If you tempted him to kiss you, fine. You won. But, it's only temptation. Like the way that Adam bit the forbidden fruit at the garden of Eden. He didn't want to disobey God but he was tempted to do so."
Ronnie rolled her eyes and hooked the shoulder bag to her arm. "Whatever you call it, Belinda. I'm going back to work. "Bye-bye." She waved goodbye by wriggling her slender fingers.
As Ronnie walked towards the hotel, she bumped someone. An intelligent-looking guy who was so familiar to her. Her shoulder bag fell on the sand.
"Los sientos," the man spoke as he picked up the bag for her. Ronnie nodded demurely and looked at his face.
"W-What do you mean?" she asked. She didn't know Spanish.
The man smirked. "That means 'Sorry' in Spanish. I'm sorry again, I have mistaken you for a Spanish tourist."
Veronica smiled. "Y-You see, I am wearing this resort's employee's uniform.."
Ismael looked at her uniform and smiled, "Oh, How come that I didn't know you?"
"I'm the new receptionist."
Ismael nodded, "Well, You see, I made mom assign another receptionist who can help you at the receptionist area, you don't have to worry so much about leaving your work when you have to use the comfort room or something.."
She looked at the intelligent guy that wore a gray three-piece and a pair of nerdy glasses. "Thank you for suggesting that to Mrs. Federal, Sir.."
"Ismael." He introduced himself. "Ismael Federal."
