Little fish in the pond swimming so free
The birds in the sky flying with glee
Spring has come and all animals stir
From the mouse in the corner
To the horse in the barn
The little kittens tumble and play
While the donkey in the pasture brays, brays
Mother duck must teach he ducklings to swim
While the farmer fills the pigs trough to the brim
Little children that dance and sing
To the young blue jay with a broken wing
Young sheep lose their wool like silk
And momma cow gives her calf all her milk
The goat protects her young billy
And all the small fish protect one small blood lily
Raccoons teach their cubs to chatter and leap
While the old dog just watch's all in a heap
The rooster begins to crow and be wild
For a wolf has just stepped into the farm
The old dog becomes insistently alert
The wolf walks slowly to the chicken coop and prepares to jump onto an old hen
Seeing the problem the dog bounds to the pen
He jumps upon the wolf and takes him by the neck
They brawl and scrawl, nip and bite
Till the wolf decides his dinner isn't worth this
The wolf runs and all animals cheer
For the old dog has saved the little farm
And all its small animals
Oompa Loompa something something something :)

For not having EVER written poetry, this is really good. It is interesting how it switches between a rambling description into a little story. You should continue working on poetry, it will only make it improve! Keep up the good work!

hey there,
I've always been enamoured by farm animals so expect high praise. The way you convey the relationships between the animals is brilliant, and how you just mix and match and come up with fluidity in this poem deserves a round of applause. I haven't a single bad thing to say.
my favourite lines were:
"Little children that dance and sing
To the young blue jay with a broken wing"
Bravo! keep up the good work!
