The next day, I woke up late. I jumped out of bed, pulled off my pink cami and silver boxers, and changed into the yellow dress that I had just gotten, and my silver gladiators. I yanked a brush through my hair, and pulled it back with a white headband. I jammed my stuff into my blue plaid backpack, grabbed my green zebra purse and makeup kit, grabbed my cell, and flew down the stairs. I took the lunch money from Hannah, and ran out the door, where Kat, one of our drivers was waiting. As she pulled away from the house, I asked " where is Cameron?"
" He had to go to a dentist appointment, and I was next on the list to drive you."
"Oh." I unbuckled my seat belt, leaned forward, and turned the t.v to the ABC channel, where reruns of Pretty Little Liars was on. I opened my makeup kit and set to work. When we pulled up in front of the school half an hour later, buses (for the people who are ashamed of the cars they have, also the less fortunate) were still unloading, so I was fine. I shoved my makeup stuff into my backpack, turned off the t.v, put my phone into my purse, and hopped out. I leaned forward into the drivers window, and said to Kat " Pick me up at 4:00. I need to go to the mall."
She pulled away, and I headed to class. When I got inside, I dropped my stuff off in homeroom, and walked over to Clara's classroom. But instead of seeing Clara, a different girl sat in her seat, talking to Makenzie. She was beautiful. She had long brown hair, with natural highlights from the sun, and layered side bangs. She wore a red haltor top with jewels on the top of it, gold skinny jeans, and matching sandals. Makenzie said something, and the girl started laughing. There was something familiar about the laugh. All of a sudden, I gasped. "Kaylie?"
The girl spun around. When she saw me, she had the same surprised look that I had. We stared at each other for a minute, then we both mini screamed. She lept up, and ran towards me, and ran into my arms, where we gave each other a giant hug. " Oh my god! I can't believe you are here!"
"I can't believe you go to this school!"
We both sat down. " Ok, I have so much to tell you. You have to come shopping with me this afternoon. There is this guy, named Tyler, that I met. He is soo hot. And we have been hanging out. He works at the mall, and i think he-."
"Wait. Whats his last name?"
"I don't know, why?"
" Does he kind of look like Ashton Kutcher?"
"Well yeah actually. Do you know him?"
Kaylie started laughing, as I sat there with a confused look on my face. " What?"
" He's, hahaha, my," Kaylie had to stop talking, she was laughing so hard. When she finally stopped laughing, she looked up at me. " Uh, I dont know how to break this to you, but he is my brother."
My jaw dropped. "What?"
" Uh, yeah."
" How come I have never met him?"
" Well, most of the time when you came over to my house when we met, he was always out doing something."
" Oh my god. Uh, this is akward."
" It dosn't have to be. And don't worry. When we see him this afternoon since he is working, I'll find out if he likes you."
" Well, he agreed to go to a party with me as my "date" so I think we are at least good friends. But are you sure its ok, you know, if we do start dating?"
" Of course. I mean come on. He is my brother. Its not like I like him. Sure, he's hot, but still. He's my brother. He's all yours."
" Ok. Thanks. I should probably get back to class. Sit with me at lunch?"
"Of course!"
We hugged each other goodbye, and I walked back to class.
The day went by pretty fast, and before I knew it, Kat was dropping us off at the mall, and telling us she would be back at 7:00 to pick us up. " Ok. Lets go see Tyler." Kaylie said. Gigglying like school girls, we headed to Kitson. When we walked in, Tyler was enthusiastically talking to the manager. He gave him a thumbs up, then spun around, and ran into us. He looked surprised. " Hey you two. Uh, do you know each other?"
" Yeah, we met a couple of years ago when Mace was on vacation in New York. You were just never around when she came over." Kaylie replied. She is the only one who ever calls me "Mace".
"Ok, uh well, its good to see you again Macey. I get off of work at 5:00 if you guys want to meet up for a early dinner."
"Ok". me and Kaylie said at the same time. She nudged me. "Come on. Lets shop." We walked away from Tyler, and walked around the store. Kaylie stopped at the sales rack, and began pawing through the clothes. She held up a grey long sleeved shirt, with a scoop neck, a sleeve ment to go over one shoulder, and a pink tank top under it. " What do you think?"
I looked at it thoughtfully, held up a finger, then walked over to the rack that wasn't on sale, full of tanktops, and pulled out a extra small lime green tanktop. I held it out to Kaylie. She looked at it.
" Its cute, but its an extra small, and I'm a medium. Besides, it costs a seventy four dollars. I mean, come on, that is a lot for a tanktop."
"So?" Obviously, even though her brother worked here, I guess Kaylie still wasn't very wealthy, and actually cared about how much things costed.
" Well, you want to get a under shirt that is to small, so it hugs you, and makes you look super skinny. Besides, who cares about the price?"
" Oh come on Mace. You know my family isn't as rich as yours. I shop at walmart half the time." I gasped.
" But what about the outfit you are wearing now?"
" You don't recognize it? You sent it to me as a birthday present this year."
" Oh. well, then get the pink one, but in a extra small. You want to look skinny don't you?"
" Uh, I don't really care. And I thought you didn't either. You normally don't care about these kind of things. Arn't you the one who pigged out at an all you can eat buffet last year?"
" Uh, yeah I guess. You know your right. Um, I gonna go look at pants."
Kaylie brightened. "Ok. Meet at the front in 15 minutes?"
"Done."
I headed for the jean section of the store, and Kaylie went back to looking at the sale stuff. I yanked jeans across their racks, shaking my head. " Since when do sizes not matter?" I thought. I pulled a pair of white skinny jeans off the rack, and walked over to the giant mirror, holding them in front of me. I tilted my head, trying to see how they looked from someone else's point of veiw. White jeans had gone out of style last year, but maybe I could bring them back. I looked at them for another minute, then shook my head. " No way." I put them back on their rack then pulled off a turquoise pair. " Definetly. In the end I ended up getting the turquoise jeans, two new pairs of normal jean ones, a mini jean skirt, a slinky gold strapless super short dress, and a pair of ballet pink flats. At the last minute, I picked up a small sized white dress, that would pop against my tan skin. Another glance at Kaylie found myself picking up the same dress, in red, size medium. I made my way to the store where Kaylie held the 2 shirts she had picked earlier. I grabbed them from her. "It's on me." She started to protest, but I cut her off. "Lets go get in line.
Since it was a wednsday, there wasn't anybody in the store so we were checkout right away. After watching Kaylie gape at the total ($ 652.93), flirting with Tyler, and dragging Kaylie out of the store, we made our way to the massage chairs. I handed her the bag with her shirts in them, then leafed through my bags, and pulled out the red dress. When she wasn't looking, I slipped it into her bag. I knew she would never take it if I gave it to her, and I figured that she could repay me later by asking Tyler if he liked me.
An hour later, we were arm and arm with each other, with Tyler walking beside me, laughing our heads off, headed for the food court. Laughing, I smacked Tyler's arm. " Oh my god Tyler. You are like so funny!"
He smiled, and whacked me back. " No, you are!"
"No you are!"
"No you are!"
"Ok, we get it. You are both funny. Now can we figure out what we are going to eat?" Kaylie exclaimed.
We ended up eating at some new pizza place, that was actually slightly good, since it had a menu that was kind of healthy. Instead of fatty greasy and oily pepperoni, we had seventy percent turkey pepperoni garentied to be non greasy, and eighty two percent less cheese. We laughed, and talked the whole way, and then when we were done, we went and saw and movie. We ended up getting kicked out, we were laughing so hard. Tyler went back to work, and me and Kaylie continued shopping.
By the time Kat came to pick me up, my arms were laden with bags, and I felt like I weighed 20 pounds more then I had started out as. Kaylie had introduced me to a new candy store, and I had filled up.
" Hey. Why don't you come over to my house and spend the night? I can lend you some extra clothes, and since I was planning on working out, it would be nice to have a partner. I could show you are new gym equimpent, and we could go swimming."
"I'd love to!" Kaylie said.
I smiled, and we hopped into the car.
I lent Kaylie a gorgeous turquoise bikini, that had red hearts on it, while using a pink lacey one for myself. We stood by the side of the pool, wondering how we should get in, until Kaylie got tired of just standing there. Finally, she pushed me into the water and then jumped in herself. We landed in with a big SPLASH! " Oh!"
I came up from under the water, sputtering. Kaylie was clinging to the side, smiling. " Oh, you think thats funny do you? Well, we'll see about that." I lunged torrwd her, and she screamed. She jumped up, and swam to the steps as fast as she could. I quickly followed, and she ran over to the diving board. As soon as I reached her, she did a perfect dive, sailing across the whole pool before coming up for air. "Hey beat that! Did you see how perfect that was?" She shouted from across the pool.
" Oh yeah? Beat this!" With that, I ran across the board, turned backwords, jumped twice, and exicuted 2 perfect back flips before spinning around in the air and landing in a dive, also sailing across the pool. I smiled as my long silky hair clung to my back as I surfaced.
"What did you think?"
" Where in the world did you learn that?"
"I did gymnastics and cheerleadng for a while, so I picked up some things."
"Oh yeah? Well then let the contest begin."
We spent some more time in the pool, before drying off, and heading to my indoor gym. After that, we put on pj's, and stayed up late all night, talking. The next morning, when we woke up, I felt better then I normally did. I woke up Kaylie, and then tapped my finger on my chin as I looked at my closet, looking for just the right outfit. I finally decided on a pair of denim skinny jeans, a gray lacy tank top, a pink and white three quarters length sleeved shirt, and pink furry uggs. For a purse, I chose my over sized gray slouchy bag, with black handles. Looking at Kaylie, who was brushing her hair, I chose her an outfit to. Dark denim skinny jeans, a pink tank top with white lace on the top, with a gray long sleeved mini jacket, one of the ones that doesn't go that far past your boobs. Matching gray uggs, with white swirls on them, and a white purse, completed the look. All of the clothes were from Abercrombie and Fitch.
As I got dressed, Kaylie did her makeup, and then we switched. As she gushed in the mirror about how fabulous she looked, both of us, I applied my makeup. As I began to straighten my hair, I rolled my eyes. I slid my bangs back into a hump, with a small pink clip, and then spun around in my hair to face Kaylie. I looked at her hair, which she had just pulled into a ponytail, and sighed. " Do you want me to do your hair for you?" I asked her.
She walked over to my vanity mirror, and looked at her hair. "Whats wrong with it?"
" Uh, nothing." I lied. "I just thought you might want to do something else with it. I mean, its so pretty with the highlights, so I thought it would look better down, like how you wore it yesterday."
"Nah, its fine."
I rolled my eyes, and watched as she went back to looking through my jewelry. I shrugged, then got up, and got my cheer-leading stuff together. The tryouts were today, so I had to look better then best. A borrowed red and white cheer-leading tank top from when my older cousin was a real cheerleader, a white sports skirt, that had skin tight shorts under it, and my professional shoes. Then my makeup bag, full of makeup, hairspray, clips, hair-bows, and everything else that I needed. It all went into a blue duffel bag, that came with a matching wallet. I then put the wallet, more makeup, a brush and some ribbons, and my cell, along with a book into my purse. I handed the other purse to Kaylie and watched as she took the contents of her small pink hello kitty purse (a tube of pink lip gloss, a old flip phone, 4 blue hair-bows, one yellow one, 2 silver clips, a small white wallet, some loose change, and a mini brush) and transferred them to the big one that I had handed her. "This purse is just too cute. I love it! Where did you get it?" she asked.
"Abercrombie and Fitch. $340."
Kaylie gasped, and dropped the purse. "Three hundred and forty dollars? For a purse?"
I shrugged. "No biggie. Now come on. Breakfast time. Hannah makes the best waffles in the world. And they are healthy, as long as you use sugar free syrup." I slid on my Uggs, grabbed my purse, cheerleading bag, and backpack, then looked at Kaylie.
"You coming?"
"Yeah." She grabbed her stuff, and we ran downstairs.
I looked at myself in the mirror of the locker room. My once down hair, had been transformed into something cheerleader worthy. My blond hair had been twisted, into two buns that rested on the sides and tops of my head. My bangs had been pulled into a hump, with cotton under them so they stayed poofy. Two bobby pins had kept the bump in place, and a blue ribbon had been tied to one of them, so it rested on top of my head, perfectly in the middle. I had on 3 coats of black mascara, and then one coat of blue sparkly tinsel mascara, that matched my bow. A layer of light pink blush was on my cheeks, the kind that sparkled in the sunlight. A simple clear coat of gloss, and no eyeshadow at all completed the look. I smoothed down my skirt, and straightened my shirt. I made sure you could barely see the safety pins that held my name tag in place, took a deep breath, and walked out of the bathroom, into the locker room. Half of the girls were already sweating with anticipation. Thanks to a special lotion, guaranteed for a new sweat body, and two different types of invisible deodorant, I would not sweat at all, no matter how hard I worked. I then walked over to Jenna. She wore the same skirt as me, as all of the girls were told what brand of skirt to buy, but she had on a red tank top. She wore red keds on her feet, and her hair was pulled into a simple ponytail. Yet, no matter how simple she looked, there was something special about everything. The shirt was her older sister's, who had made the team with that shirt, she had red lace embroidered onto her skirt, her red keds had her names on them in jewels. Her ponytail was so tight, you could see it pulling back her scalp, and she had so much hairspray on it, it looked shiny. Looking at her hair, I realized I needed hairspray to. I ran over to where my stuff was, and digging through my makeup bag, I found my giant bottle of hairspray. I stood in front of the mirror in the locker room, and sprayed a ton on. A whistle signaled it was time to go, and I dropped the can back into my bag. I met up with Jenna, Makenzie, (who Clara had dragged here), and Clara, and we walked out together.
"Alright ladies. You are all here today to try to do one thing. Make the team. Now remember, only twenty girls make the team, so I don't want whining or crying or nuthin if you don't make it. Try your best, good luck, and lets begin."
Tryouts were random, and I was in the fourth group, which was a good thing since four was my lucky number. As I watched the first group go into the dance room where the tryouts were, I stretched, nervously sliding into a split. I bent down and touched my nose to my knee, reaching out my hand and touching my toes, flexing them. As I came up, before going to the other side, I looked around the room. Some girls were stretching like me, some were just talking, and some were just sitting around, biting their nails, waiting to be called. The coaches didn't let us practice the cheers, as it was an unfair advantage to the first groups, so we were supposed to sit and find something to do. I slid down to the middle into my split, and then quickly came up. I stood up, dusted off my skirt, then lifted my leg up behind me, stretching it to my shoulder. Then I did my right leg, and when I came out of that, one of the dance teachers came out, leading the girls in group one. She talked to them, and they headed to the locker room. She then called out "group two".
Twelve girls stood up, and looking around the room, crossing their fingers, they followed the teacher into the dance room. I smiled at Clara and Makenzie, who were in group six, then bent down and touched my toes. I heard the door to the gym open, and as I looked up, Kaylie walked in. Glancing at the twelvthe grader who was watching us, I ran over to her. "What are you doing here?"
"Well, I'm here to support you of course! You didn't think I wouldn't be here to cheer on my best friend?"
"You are the best friend ever!" I leaned over, and hugged her.
"Now, I better get back before they see me. I go up in two groups so it should be soon ok?"
"Alrighty! I'll see you later."
I ran back to my spot on the floor, and twisted, stretching my triceps. Fifteen minutes later, me and eleven other girls were heading to the dance room, with me leading. Taking a deep breath, I pushed open the doors, and gasped. I had never been inside this dance room before, and it was amazing. The walls were a soft ballet pink, with floor to ceiling mirrors along three of the walls. A bar stretched across the fourth wall, at abb height, and above it were dance posters. Most of them had been moved to the side to make room for a huge banner, that had cheerleaders in a pyramid on it, with cheer lyrics around the edges. The three dance teachers, cheerleading coach, and Caroline.
" Ok. First up, the dance that goes with " Forget you"."
Caroline turned on the radio, and the song burst out.
"I see you drive around town
with the girl I love, and I'm like,
forget you, and forget her toooo"
I ran into action, waving my arms to the side, thrusting my hips, and shaking my butt. I spun around, and did a ball chain, then jumped into the air into a hurkey. Bouncing on my toes as I came down, I spun around again, doing a pirouette. Leaping to the side, I slid into a split, spun around on my butt, then did a backword roll onto my knees, jumping up and sliding into my spot.
"Yeah, Im sorry, I can't afford a ferrari,
but that don't mean I can't get you there.
I guess he’s an xbox and i’m more atari,
But the way you play your game ain’t fair."
Clapping our hands above our heads, and stepping to the side, all twelve of us clapped, spun, clapped, spun. Grabbing the hands of the person beside us, we twisted under each others arms.Laughing, we all separated. Sliding, spinning, splitting, and dancing our way through the song, we looked like we were having a good time. I smiled as the final lines of the song came up, where we were told to make up something amazing to impress the "judges". Leaning forward and bending my knees, I flipped backward, landed in a push up position and sprung up.
"Kick ball change. Pirouette. Leap, drop, leap, drop, two flips, spin in the air, land in a tuck position, and roll." I went through the motions in my head, while managing to glance to my side and watch the other girls. Most were doing random dumb stuff, and it was really lame compared to what I was doing. The song ended, and we went into our ending spots, I was surprised at the amount of girls who did a split, especially since most of them sucked. Me, I grabbed my foot and pulled it up so it was over my head, to the side. Out of breath, we snapped up, standing straight, with our arms to our sides, smiling, and breathing hard.
In the next twelve minutes, we completed the dance to "Today Was A Fairytale", and "One Less Loney Girl", did the four cheers, and had our comments from the judges. We were rushed out the door, being told that the names of the girls who made the team would be on the school website tonight at eight o clock sharp, and then they were calling group five. I ran over to Kaylie who pulled me into a giant hug, swinging me around. " So? Do you think you made it?"
Caching my breath, I held up a finger. " Definitely. I don't know how well everybody else was, but the people in my group weren't that good."
"Wow. You sound so certain of yourself."
I shrugged. "Come on. Let me go change, and then we can go to the mall. I need to pick up outfits for some of us to wear tomorrow."
" Us meaning-?"
" You, me, Clara, Makenzie, and Jenna. I have everyone's sizes, so I figured that since we all tried out we should wear something cozy yet cute, that looks the same. Well, you didn't try out, but I'm always looking for an excuse to buy you clothes so you don't look terrible." I smiled, then grabbed her hand. Ducking around everyone, we dashed to the locker room, where I changed into the extra clothes that were in my locker (a short, black, revealing-low cut tank top, short jean shorts with frayed edges, and a pair of Coach converse). I stuffed my other clothes into my duffel bag, shoved in my makeup bag, and grabbed all of my stuff.
I then called Cameron, who came and picked us up. At the mall, I picked up five different shades of blue jean skinny jeans, from Hollister, four different shades of pink hoodies, one peach/ orange one, from Kitson, and five different colored Puma's from the Puma store. After we dropped Kaylie off at her house, I texted everone and told them that when they were done with tryouts to come by my house, as I had a surprise for them. I then sat down on the edge of my canopy bed, that had pink sheets on it today, and actually stopped to think. Taking a deep breath, I headed to my bathroom, and took a twenty minute shower. I came out feeling refreshed, wrapped up in a fluffy white bathrobe, with a towel around my hair. Sitting on the edge of my bed, I took the towel out of my hair and brushed it. I headed into my closet and and then walked out wearing a silver silk cami from Margie's Boutique, a pair of hot pink skinny jeans, and no shoes or socks. I quickly straighted my hair, and then threw my cheerleading stuff into the laundry room for Grega to do. Going back to my room, I laid out all of the clothes that I had gotten for everyone. A dark shade of jeans, a hot pink hoodie, and a pair of hot pink Pumas for me. A super light shade of blue jeans, a magenta hoodie, and magenta Puma's for Kaylie. The peachy hoodie, a pair of slightly dark jeans, and dark blue Pumas for Makenzie. A baby pink hoodie, normal colored skinny jeans, and brown Pumas for Clara. Which left the light pink hoodie, the really dark blue jeans, and the black Pumas for Jenna. I mean, I love Jenna and all, but sometimes she seems a threat to me, because she is so pretty, and her dad is kinda famous. So I decided that for once she wasn't going to look as good as the rest of us.
Jenna happened to be the first one to my house, as she is my neighbor, so she had to drive here anyway, and she was in group five. When the doorbell rand I jumped up from where I was getting stuff ready for the Carter's party, and ran downstairs, stopping behind the tall pillar that ended the stairs, to see who it was. Seeing that it was Jenna, I let Martain, our butler get the door, and ran upstairs to my room, where I flung open my closet door, so that when Jenna came, she would see how big it was.
" Macey, your friend is here Miss."
"Thank you Martain. Just tell her to come on up" I yelled back at him. I smoothed out my comforter while I listened to him telling Jenna how to get to my room, as it is kind of confusing.
"Go up the stairs, and down to sixth room on the right. Go through there, and when you walk in, you should see a door that goes outside. Go through that door, and you will come to a long balcony, that on one side has a door, that is a mini room that stretches across nothing. When you get to the end of that there is another door, and after that another long hallway. It is the second door on the left."
"Thank you". I heard Jenna climbing the stairs. It may sound weird that I could hear her, since it is such a lonf way to my room, but all the doors were open that lead to my room, so i could hear everything. A minute later, Jenna peeked her head into my room.
"Hello? Is anyone in here?"
I walked out of my closet with a box full of shirts that I had worn more then twice. Seeing Jenna, I dropped the box onto the floor beside my bed and dusted my hands off on my pants. I turned around. "Oh hey Jenna! I see you got my text."
She smiled and shoved her hands into her sweatshirt pocket. She wore a pair of white Aeropostale shorts, a green sweatshirt, and a pair of flipflops. her hair was pulled into a half pony, and she wore no makeup. "Yeah. You said you had a surprise...?"
I smiled, and picked up the clothes that I had gotten for her, and handed them to her. "I got semi matching outfits for everyone to wear tomorrow."
"Oh thanks. So, are you going to Carter's party?"
"I suppose. I mean, for once I don't have anything good to do that night so."
" Awesome. Ok. I've got to get home. My brother is back from college for Friday and the weekend, and I'm supposed to be there for dinner. Makenzie is coming over later, and I still have to get my homework done."
"Hey, can you give these to Makenzie for me then? Tell her to wear a white cami under the hoodie. You do the same."
"Ok. I'll see you later."
She walked out of my room, and then the doorbell rand again. I followed her out and then down the stairs, where Clara was standing. Smiling to Jenna, she looked at me. I nodded my head toward the stairs, and she followed. When we got to my room, I plugged my Ipod touch in, and music filled the room.
Two hours later, everyone had their outfits, and I was dressed in a white tanktop dress, sitting at the dining room table. My mom was on my right, and my dad was on my left. The seat across from me was empty. I was an only child, and there was noone to fill that seat. Dinner was silent as always, but afterwords, when I was heading up to my room to do my homework, my parents called me down. I headed into the family room, where my parents were sitting together on one of the couches. Glancing out the window, I sunk into a white loveseat, sitting up straight, legs together, hands in my lap. I faced my parents, and they began talking.
Twenty minutes later, I was walking to my bedroom with a stunned look on my face. My mom was going to have a baby. Well, more specifically, two. She was having twins. I thought about how just that evening, I had been thinking about how there was noone to fill the empty seat. Well now, we would need another seat. When I got to my room, I sat down on my fuzzy chair that was in the corner. Since there was nothing else to do, I picked up my phone and scrolled through my pictures, which is what I did when I got bored. I smiled when I got to a picture of Tyler. It was on the first day that I had seen him, secretly outside of the store, I had been pretending to take a video of Lucy, when it was really of Tyler. All of a sudden, I bolted upright. "Oh my gosh! I forgot to call Tyler about tomorrow!" I grabbed my phone and quickly thumbed through my contacts, until I found Tyler's number. I clicked the green call button, then got up out of the chair and paced the room, stopping in front of the mirror. I ran my fingers through my hair, listening to the dial. On the fourth ring, he picked up. "Hello? Tyler speaking. Who is this?"
" Hey Tyler! It's Macey!"
"Oh hey Macey. Whats up?"
"Well, I just realized I forgot to call you and remind you about tomorrow night. Carter's party?"
"Oh right! I was wondering about that. So when do I pick you up? Am I supposed to be getting you a cosage? Give me the details."
"Well lets see. You don't have to get me a corsage if you don't want, I mean, its only a party. If you do, then get a red rose one. You need to be at my house by 6:45. Where a tux, black and white, nothing funny, and no pink. Make sure your hair is combed, and be ready to dance. Wear a simple black mask and make sure your shoes match your outfit."
"Alright. Whats your adress?"
I gave him my adress, and warned him to be polite to my parents. Soon after, he told me he had to go, as he was meeting up with a friend to go to a basketball game. After we hung up, I ran downstairs.
"Mom, Dad? Tomorrow, I am going to my friends party. I'll be back by midnight. Tyler, Kaylie's brother, is going with me and he is going to pick me up. He is very nice and polite, so I think you will like him."
"Is he smart? Because I don't want my daughter dating someone who does not care about their studies."
"Dad! We are not dating! He is just going to this party with me!"
"Okay. Whatever you say. Now go do something."
I laughed, then ran upstairs, across the hall, outside, through the other hall, and into my room. I went and took another shower, sat and blow dried my hair for half an hour, then changed into a dusty pink silk cami, matching white silk long bottoms, and slipped my white sleeping mask onto my head like a headband. Sitting at my computer, I went and checked my email, went on facebook, chatted with a few friends, then shut it down. Then the doorbell rang. Five minutes later, Makenzie walked into my room.I looked up, startled." Put some shoes on. Jenna needs you."
I ran over to my close and opened up the seperate little room with my millions of shores. Slipping my tan Uggs on, and grabbing my white belted jacket, I followed Makenzie out and to Jenna's house. I had never really been to Jenna's room before so it was a surprise when I saw it. The entire room was a soft pink. A canopy bed just like mine was dressed in pink sheets, with matching pillows. She had a hardwood floor that had a giant pink area rug on it, with mini ones in certain spots. Her closet was open, and looked to be about half the size of mine. A desk, a window seat, a few shelves, a reading area, and a few other things occupied the rest of the room. Jenna walked out of the room across from hers, revealing a huge bathroom, that was white with fish(?) in it. Toys scattered the tub, and the floor looked to be sticky. Jenna smiled at me and closed the bathroom door. About to say something, she was cut off by six four year olds chasing a dog that had a small silver object in its mouth. A ring tone went off, playing Breathe, signaling a boy. Jenna felt her pockets, looking for her phone. "Where's my phone?"
The little kids stopped, and guiltly looked up at her. The dog barked, and dropped the object out of its mouth. Jenna's cell phone dropped out, half of the stickers coming off, and covered in spit. Jenna gasped. "You are so dead!"
"He's just a dog!"
"Not the dog! You!"
All of the little kids screamed and ran from the room, with Jenna chasing after them. "Mom! the future cheer leader's after us!"
Makenzie and I dropped on the bed, clutching our sides, we were laughing so hard. When we finally calmed down, the screams were joined by crying, then shouting to be quiet, and more barking, then a squawk. Jenna has nine younger siblings, two older at home, and four who are in college. She also has six dogs, two cats, a hamster, fourty nine rats (They thought two were boys but they wern't and had babies), and a bird. Their house is always very loud, yet Jenna dosn't seem to mind. Jenna stalked into her room, and slammed the door, locking it. She looked at her cell phone in disgust, then sunk into her rolling chair. She rolled over to her computer and logged into facebook. "This is what I wanted to show you." She brought up Austin's page, and I leaned over her shoulder to look at it. Several posts were on it, about me.
Luke and Macey sitting in a tree

first comes love, then comes marrage,
then comes a hundred kids in the baby carrage
Most of them were about me, some about Luke, and a few about my friends. I gasped, and dropped to the floor. Thinking, I pulled out my Iphone, called Austin, and put him on speaker. We all leaned in. "What are you going to do?" Jenna asked.
Before I could answer, Austin picked up the phone. "Yo, whats up Macey ?"
Holding a finger to my lips to tell Jenna and Makenzie to be quiet, I started. "What the hell do you think you are doing, posting those kind of things about me and Luke on your facebook wall?" I screamed this so loud, Jenna winced and Makenzie put her fingers in her ears. "Well, uh you see-"
"Yeah I do see. I see that you are posting two year old things, with a bit of naughty language, up on your wall so that the whole damn world can see! Do you have a problem with me or Luke? Or are you just so jealous that I wouldn't go out with you when you asked me out, yet you think that I like Luke, so you have to go post those kinds of things up there?"
Jenna and Makenzie gasped when I said that I wouldn't go out with him when he asked me out, so I figured that I would have a lot of explaining to do later on. "Look Macey, its nothing person-"
I cut him off again. "Nothing personal? Nothing personal? This is my life, that you are posting, and you are saying its nothing personal? Well, here is a news flash for ya buddy. If it has to do with me, its personal. So if I were you, I would delete those posts, or your life is going to be a living hell for a while. And stay the crap out of my life you immature little bitch!" I quickly hung up, breathing hard. He tried to call back, but I pressed ignore. When I looked up, Jenna and Makenzie were staring at me. "Wh-" Jenna tried to ask me something, but I replied with a "Stawp."
I took a deep breath, and said, "I know you guys want to say somethings, but all I need is some time to think and collect myself." I stood up, and pulled my jacket back on. "I am going to go home, and I will see you guys tommorow, just in time to see who made the team okay?" Without waiting for a reponse, I ran out of Jenna's room, down the stairs, and pushed open the front door. A blast of semi warm semi cool air hit me, and I hurried toward my house.
Pulling my sleeping mask on, I dived under the covers, and fell asleep. For some reason, I didn't dream, so I had one of the most peaceful nights I have had lately. The next morning, I woke up and got out of bed, getting dressed. An hour and fourty five minutes later I was downstairs, ready to go. I had on a white cami with my hoodie, Pumas, and jeans, with a green backpack and lunchbox. My purse was filled with the usual. A coach wallet and coach key-fob, four tubes of lip gloss, two bottles of purple and green Essie nail polish, a small bottle of nail polish remover, a small makeup bag with makeup and hair supplies, a small Evian water bottle, a Luna snack bar, a compact mirror and brush, and my phone and ipod. I had brushed and straightened my long blond hair until it shined, then pulled my bangs into a side part and left the rest alone. I hopped into the car, and 30 minutes later (due to traffic) I was at school. I hopped out, then headed to homeroom, meeting up with Jenna in the hallway. She still managed to look cute in the outfit that she had on, so I didn't feel to bad. Her blond hair was in a ponytail, with a ribbon matching her shoes tied in a giant bow in it. We hurried to class, dropped off our stuff, then headed to Clara's class. She and Kaylie were that, but Makenzie wasn't yet. Everyone had thier outfits on, and looked totally cute. Makenzie arrived a few minutes later, and we sat and nervously chatted with the other girls in the class until the announcements came on. We shook our hands, as if trying to make them go by. Finally the coach came on. After saying some stuff about how proud she was of us, blah blah blah, she finally got to the names. There was 20 girls on the team. Two were spotters, two were backup, one was team captain, and the rest were enough to make a pyramid, with five girls on the bottom. She started with the captain. "I want to say congratulations to..." She drew out the pause, as we all grasped hands, our palms sweaty.
