Call for Creative Submissions from Youth

VANCOUVER, BC, CANADA, Jan 13, 2011 – The Fabric of the Earth in conjunction with Soames Point Press is currently accepting creative submissions from youth ages 13 to 21. Selected works will be published in an upcoming edition of P.E.A.C.E. on Earth, the multi-volume, multi-media ebook series from fabricoftheearth.com.

P.E.A.C.E. on Earth tells the story of the Noan — a population of space-traveling archaeologists — who discover Planet Earth in the year 3 million AD, long after the human population has apparently disappeared. Starting with Day One on Earth and told through transmissions between the archaeologists on the planet and their colleagues in orbit, P.E.A.C.E. on Earth is an ongoing multi-media narrative that tells their story. Part book, part theatre, and part interactive website, readers get to listen to “audio artifacts” and follow the story both in the ebooks and on the website. Volume one of P.E.A.C.E. on Earth was published in December 2010.

At this point in the arc of the story the Noan Archaeological Youth have been asked by the leaders of the Earth expedition to compile the first display of archaeological finds (http://fabricoftheearth.com/interviews).

In order to have work considered for publication in P.E.A.C.E. on Earth as an “archaeological find,” youth between the ages of 13 and 21 are asked to submit their creative works to http://fabricoftheearth.com.

Submission Guidelines:
Submissions: Poetry, short stories, creative non-fiction, photographs, graphic art, video, audio
Theme: Truth (to be interpreted as widely and creatively as you like)
Deadline: March 31, 2011

For details including length, size and method of submission, please visit the Archaeological Youth page at http://fabricoftheearth.com/AY. Each person to submit receives a free ebook of P.E.A.C.E. on Earth, Volume One.

The Fabric of the Earth project and its story P.E.A.C.E. on Earth is a creation of Canadian author and innovator Barbara Murray. Murray is also the author of the Bea and Mildred Mystery Series (http://beaandmildred.com). Soames Point Press is Barbara Murray’s publisher.
