Something I wrote quite a while back to go with a story I was planning to start at some point. Hope you guys like it, poetry isn't really my strong point so any critique will be appreciated.
Listen to the choir,
Hear them howl.
Can you hear?
No, never will you hear.
Because you will not listen.
I hear it.
The throaty chorus
Calling, pleading, grieving
Crying to the moon.
Aid shall never come
Not for them
Yet still they sing
For an audience deaf
Heartless ears shall never listen
I listen
As does our gracious moon
Her glow ethereal
Bathing them with love eternal.
She weeps
They howl
I listen
Each night heads raise high
In unison shall they cry to the moon
