I hide my fear,
in sorry filled eyes.
Long lonely lashes,
wet from many cries.

No scars to show,
the inside beatings.
There is no more light,
and happiness is fleeting.

How can someone,
something like me?
Wither and die,
caused by my family.

Very little things,
can tear out my heart,
shove it back in,
then tear it apart.

Is it my temper?
Like gas and a match,
but never would I,
make sure no one could ever attach.

Whats supposed to be joking,
isn't very funny to me.
Being called ugly,
is never funny.

My closest of friends,
seem to stray far.
Without them to talk to,
its like a road with no car.

Why does it matter?
If my feelings are hurt,
if its your way goes,
I'll open my mouth and you kick in the dirt.

A hero isn’t defined by winning. Loads of heroes die in the effort. Most of them never get any recognition. No, a hero is just somebody who does the right thing when it would be far, far easier to do nothing.
