Suitor, to you I smile and bat my eyelashes as any girl in my position would do.

I take your hand as you offer it like you’ve been trained to do. Your mother taught you well to be a gentleman.

We’ll speak of everything we were told to speak: What we’re supposed to do, to hate, to love, and I’ll never see myself…you’ll never know your bride.

I’ll often wonder of your past. You’ll never tell me. Not when we lay in bed
Not when I stroke my fingers against the keys of your grandmother’s piano, as any girl in my position would do.

You came to call quickly if I do say so myself. Dare I also say you were excited to meet a girl like me? Was this always your dream, our destiny? Was it ever planned as they often are and suitor, I know you traveled far but what would you do if you were in my shoes?

Suitor, look at me and tell me how you feel with your eyes. Have you been trapped like a bird who never knew to fly? Suitor, take my hand and ask me who I am and I promise you, you will not recognize my name. I will not lie as any girl in my position would do…

Wow, this is a beautiful piece of writing. I love it because of all the meaning hidden throughout. I say hidden because I had to read it several times to feel like i had a halfway-decent handle on it. Great piece...that was beautiful. -Clay

Nice job :) It was nice to read something with a different structure. I think you could probably use a bit more detail, so that I have a clearer image while reading, but other than that, it was pretty great.
