Captain Legama looked over the bowsprit of his ship, the sun glinting off the Ocean making it into one of purest gold. He, as with the rest of his crew, had been out on the Ocean for six months, the hull of the Luciefer's Gold filled with fish. She was on the homeward stretch, on the way back to the small sea port of Seaton, just off the Whealsh coast.

Smites, the ship priest, stumbled toward the Captain and said:
"With all due respect, sir, we need to make an offering to th Sea Woman"

The Captain laughed, loud and malitously,"Smites!", he shouted,"Has She helped us in anyway on our voyage? No! We had to chase the fish for fifty miles before we caught them! She doesn't exist!"
Smites took a step back, as if replused even to look upon his captain.

"She may forgive yo-", Smites tried to say, but the captain interupted him;
"One more word, Smites, and you're cannon fodder! Now get back to you're duties!"

Deep within the World's Ocean, the Sea Woman roared with rage in her heart.
"How dare he?! A mear mortal challenge me!" She looked down upon her Globe, scowling at the miniscule dot that was the Lucifer's Gold, around one-hundred fathoms from the safty of Seaton.

"What are you doing child?" asked an old man, calmly and quietly in the corner of the room, lounging on a sofa.

"Oh, Lord Summer! That heathen down there has insulted me!"

"What are you going to do?"

"I will teach them! I will take their pride! I will send them on the edge of Sanity itself and then push them down to the dark abyss of madness!" The Woman exited Her palace at the bottom of the deepest sea and began to dance on the sea bottom, whilst chanting:

"May the winds clash,
the waves crash
and the salty brine take them,
take them down to the abyss,
The Abyss of Terraryss!"

And so she swam to the sea suface, taking the form of a Maelstrom, the biggest ever seen.

"Captain", squeaked the Quartermaster , worriedly, "You should see this"
"What is it?" The Captain asked, irksomely. The Quartermaster pointed to port, gesturing the Captain to look through his spy-glass. When the Captain looked through it, he saw the Storm. The relentless clouds of pitchest black heading toward them at speed. Already the waves were getting visibly bigger. Something stirred within Legama.

"Helmsman!", he shouted, "Take us to starboard!"

* * *
The Woman, atop the storm's wrath, observed the Lucifer's Gold and cackled to herself.

"Fools!" She exclaimed over the deafening thunder,"Do they really think they can escape my power?!" She pointed at the poor ship, sending a streak of lightening to meet her.
* * *

The Helmsman did as was told, eventhough he was ordered to go in the opposite direction of land. He didn't even see the Lightening Bolt until it was too late. The evil fork struck upon the Wheel, catapulting the poor man from the ship, the sea claiming him. The Bolt ran down to the rudder, which exploded into thousends of burnt pieces, the ship went into absolute chaos, everyone running in fear, the Captain stood in the center of the fray.
* * *
The Sea Woman cackled insanly, Her plan was going the way she wanted it. The ship was now adrift, now a plaything. She speeded to the ship, not wanting to delay anymore.

The Storm reached the poor, stranded Lucifer's Gold , tossing it around like a toy in a playpen. The whole Ocean had turned against hem . The Crew ran this way and that, trying to control her, but failing. The old priest Smites was maing as many prayers as possible, but he knew in his heart that they would not listen.

In the Radio Room, Albo was trying to make contact, but because of the interference from the storm, he failed. The captain tied himself to the mast, making sure that he would go down to Terraryss, he would go with her.

The waves relentlessly pounded the ship, that is, until they merged to create two monstrous mountains of water, the Lucifer's Gold on top of one, the Sea Woman atop the other.

"Cannon at the ready!" screamed the Captain in his delerium. All ten of the guns on the ship were readied. The Sea Woman cackled at the desparate sight of the disheveled crew. Her laughter increased when they fired, doing nothing to Her.

The Captain, his very sanity stole from him, looked in mad glee as the Woman cackled.

"Is this all you've got?!" he shouted,"All powerful? Ha! All you've done is huff and puff like the Big Bad Wolf!"

The Woman's cackling stopped and she scowled at the mad, grinning figure of Captain Legama and screeched, "Pathetic little man! Who do you think you are?! Defying my rights!"

Legama mearly spat at her and said,"I am Captain Jose Legama of the Lucifer's Gold. Do what you wish. I no longer care"

And so the Woman smashed her in two, sending her crew flying from her. The Woman, now appeased left the Lucifer's Gold to go down to Terraryss as the Sun set on the World's Ocean.

"Oh, Lord Summer! That heathen down there has insulted me!" she's deep in the ocean right? How is the ship "below" her? I think it should read, "That heathen on the surface has insulted me!"

"What are you going to do?"asked the old man quizzically.

Glaring at him, a smirk growing on her face she replied,"I will teach them! I will take their pride! I will send them on the edge of Sanity itself and then push them down to the dark abyss of madness!" Then she exited her palace at the bottom of the deepest seaget rid of this. and began to dance on the sea bottom, whilst chanting:

To explain the "that heathen down there" phrase. Basically, because she is looking down at the model of the World, she is literally looking at the ship, eventhough she is on the World itself. Remember that she is a Goddess, so she can break the Laws of Physics when she wants to. But thanks for the comment!
