And the winner is . . .
Really, who cares?
Forced fed views from
the judges in their chairs.

Reality tv, so what.
Poisoning the public with
poluted messages
and conformist ideals.

The weeks news consists
of who has left and who is still in.
Does real news not matter anymore?
or does it just have a back seat in society.

Silly little contestant's,
the put their "fragile hearts"
on the line, just to be told they
are not good enough,

But who are they to judge.

We all seem to be walking along
the same slippery slope,
yet, others think they have a higher right
so reach higher, through reality tv.
Where some are given a hand
to help them up, only to
find it ripped away at the last,
second.

They are all mannaquins of
a different kind, who crave approval
from the highest power.
Not for me thanks.

It feels like I am
slowly killing myself.
Dying inside,
well you know with reality tv.

I think you should switch these two lines. It sounds a whole lot better ( in relation to the last line)

Hi there, I really like this poem. I do agree with all your points and the poem has a a meaning to it, also I can feel the frustration of the poet towards this society that doesn't have nothing left but silly reality TV shows which reduce them into not being able to live their lives due to their being assorted to much into futile programs.
Good work, keep it up!

For a short space of time I remained at the window watching the pallid lightnings that played above Mont Blanc and listening to the rushing of the Arve, which pursued its noise way beneath. The same lulling sounds acted as a lullaby to my too keen sensations; when I placed my head upon my pillow, sleep crept over me; I felt it as it came and blessed the giver of oblivion.
