I remember like it was yesterday...
They opened the gate to the ring...
I saw the other dog through the second gate, I could tell he was new.
I didn't want to do this...
He was just a pup...
I could tell he was scared and didn't know what was going on...
I am expected to kill, which i hate to do.
I've seen what they do to the others who don't fight...
The kill em' with a silver bullet...
I'd rather die than hurt this baby boy...
I had tears in my eyes.
I only thought them humans could cry, but no.
Us dogs can cry to.
The puppies gate opens we both walk in.
I decide i'm gonna die.
I never wanna' hurt another dog, especially a pup.
I just sit there, and i play with the pup.
The master yells and brings out a gun...
I here a bang, i fell to the ground...
I heard another bang, and the pup who was next to me was down.
I used my last bit of strength to lick the pup good bye.
Then i hear a man yell "FREEZE!"
Seven men in uniforms walk in and chain the masters up.
The pup and i are taken to the vet.
The doctor says i'll be fine but the pup will die.
I close my eyes and pray to the lord to give my life to the puppy, i didn't want him to die.
It worked, i closed my eyes and faded away.
I saw light in the sky as i floated upward.
Now i'm sitting on a cloud watching over the pup, i'm now his guardian angel...
And he knows it.
