To Write Love on her arms is a beautiful thing. She feels that she is wanted, That she is needed. Like she is an important factor in someone's life.
The person that wrote love on her arm is just as beautiful as their action. They know her pain. They know the trials she is going through. They knew the proper opiate to calm her.
When the love was written on her arms, she cried. She cried because she was happy. She was happy, because there is someone that understands. She was glad, because she knew that she could rely on that person, whether it was walking through the valley of ease, or swimming in the ocean of her tears, she knows that person will always be by her side.
Thank you for writing the love on her arms.

I saw this in the new post feed and I had to comment on it. To Write Love on Her Arms is an organization that is very dear to me for quite a few reasons, and it makes me smile uncontrollably to see such beautifully-written pieces regarding the foundation. You clearly understand the depth behind the actions, and so I want to thank you for being understanding. Beautifully written in response to a beautiful concept. I trust that you're going to celebrate TWLOHA day in November?

Hey there! May I call you K for short? :smt001

So, let me tell you a little story about me and TWLOHA. (Click on the spoiler!)
Spoiler
I didn't know much about it until I saw the shirts everywhere. I decided to do some research. I would love to support their purported cause, getting treatment for self-injurers. But I just can't, when I see what it's become. According to some recent financial reports (mid 2009, I think?) only 25% of the gross earnings actually go toward treatment and recovery, which is particularly low for a nonprofit. And until 2009 or so, the largest portion of their proceeds went to a little foundation called Mercy Ministries, a vehemently anti-gay, etc., group. This organization has group homes for girls and women where they perform "gay conversions" and "exorcisms" to treat eating disorders...they even have a website for the people who've suffered at their hands. http://www.mercysurvivors.com/ Most people I know who support TWLOHA don't even know what it's about. They are only concerned about what style and what color they're getting the shirt in. They don't know anything about TWLOHA. Also, some others are rumored to use it as a sort of clique for self-injurers.
Nobody knows what's going on with TWLOHA for sure, since the info they make public is scarce. While I would LOVE to support an organization with their aim, with their tactics, I don't think I can. I don't begrudge others who support it though, because I'm sure people have been helped, and the founder is just trying to make a difference for these people who need it desperately.

That said, this piece communicates what TWLOHA should be about, a truly beautiful concept.
It's well written, though I think streamlining your verb tenses would be a great idea. The switching between present and past abruptly makes for awkward reading.
Other than that, I don't have any nitpicks.

If you have any questions or would like an elaboration on any of my points, would like a review, or anything at all, just message me or post on my wall. :D Thanks for this read, it was great. :smt003

Keep Writing!

I know about this more than a couple of months ago. Someone told me about this organization. Just looked at their site. It's cool that there's an organization like TWLOA. Anyway, really nice writing. Keep it up.

P.S. The highlighted part, I think, was a typo. :)
