As someone who has worked with kids of all ages, I whole-heartedly agree with that statement ;)

Seconded. :P

Well, you know guys, I'm younger than 11 and I am more mature than my 12-year-old friends. At least, I USED to be. Being around them peoples is not good for my maturity level. Not at all. But, of course, whenever they're talking about inappropriate things and giggle and snort and whisper swear words and giggle again, and I ask what on earth they're talking about, because my sweet innocent self has never been exposed to such things, and they say "Not for 10 year olds. And when you turn 11, not for 11 year olds." Well, come on. This was earlier in the year, so they actually said, "Not for 9 year olds. And when you turn 10, not for 10 year olds." Half of them were eleven, and frankly, about as mature as 5-year-olds. I was disgusted.

But now, see, I'm one of them, and probably almost as immature. Just goes to show that 10 year olds, are, indeed more mature than 12-year-olds. But if you put them in the same environment, the 10-year-old will gradually lose maturity until they are virtual teenagers. Scary, yes?

Thought so. Boy that was a lot of typing. Sorry.

Thing is, at 11 you don't know much about the World, only the good, happy bright side. At twelve, you begin to descend. At 13, the descension speeds up. Between 14 and 17/19 you'll know what depression, anger and teen angst is.
