Heres my take on the checks:
On September 2, 2003 a baby boy was born at the Hollywood Hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Exeter couldn’t have been prouder. Lawrence Exeter, now Lawrence Exeter Sr., had had his fingers crossed for a boy ever since he learned of his wife’s pregnancy. Lawrence Exeter Jr. was welcomed into the world of the wealthy in a golden carriage from Goosie Gander Baby Shoppe.
As he grew up, he was surrounded by expensive toys. Finally, after his sixth birthday, Lawrence Sr. enrolled Lawrence Jr. into the Palisade School for Boys, where he spent seven years. After Palisades, he moved on to Columbia Military School. After six more years of school, Lawrence Jr. graduated with a 4.0 GPA. As a graduation gift, Lawrence Sr. bought him a beat-up $4,000 Cadillac. Unfortunately, after a wild graduation party, Lawrence Jr. crashed it.
Even after the hundreds of dollars spent on fixing the Cadillac, the Exeter’s still spent another good lump sum of money on getting Lawrence Jr. into Stanford. With their kid in college, the Exeter’s decided to splurge on some remodeling and a vacation. They decided to take a cruise to France for a banquet.
Shortly after dinner, while the girls were talking, Lawrence explained to his father that he wanted to marry Marie. His father, who had liked his girlfriend agreed, and told him to talk to her father. Three years after the proposal, the Exeter’s realized their house wasn’t up to par. They spent $78,000 to make their house and landscaping more like those in France. After the renovation all the wedding plans had been made and Lawrence Sr. offered to give them $500 to pay for a part of their wedding bands. As a wedding present, Lawrence Sr. gave Lawrence Jr. $200,000 to help pay for their new house. He also paid for their honeymoon at the Ambassador Hotel.
Four years later, Laurence Jr. was less than happy with his wife. He bought a diamond necklace and flowers for young Miss Flossie Wentworth. Laurence Jr. gave her a check for $50,000 so she didn’t tell anyone about their relationship. Unfortunately, his wife had suspected something, and had her husband make out some checks for her to Tony Spagoni, the private investigator. She told him he was a business partner and she would need multiple signed checks so she could make out the amount when she found it out.
She confronted him with the evidence and filed for a divorce. Laurence Jr. hired Wall &Wall Smith, Attorneys at Law; Clerk, Reno Municipal Court; Walker &Walker; and Wall and Smith to finalize their divorce. In the end, he had to give up his china, the designer couches, the 60 gallon fish tank with exotic fish, and $175,000.
The next month, Lawrence Sr. had a heart attack. He was put into ICU at the hospital where Lawrence Sr. was born. He passed ten days later. Lawrence Jr., now just Lawrence, paid for an extravagant funeral.
