I hear rumors of cars
driving incessantly on the roads of London
like in a race against time.
It's mid August,
but I can still feel the presence of the breeze
caressing me gently.
The dark and grey clouds are still reigning upon us
I can smell the oncoming rain ...
Strangers are waiting for the bus,
all having a prefixed destination,
all going in the same direction,
like when streams from different parts
gather at the same point
but then again separate.
Two women sitting on the bench under that imposing tree,
gossiping, laughing and joking,
indifferent to the entire storm that surrounds them.
I see people walking ...
They seem so secure of themselves...
Hostile, indifferent,
most of all absorbed with their thoughts;
yet they are lowering their gaze
as soon as my eyes meet theirs.
Even so who am I to judge?!
The sky has finally started to cry,
tiny teardrops falling on my skin,
the Earth is getting purified.
That sense of chaos has disappeared,
the sound of nature is prevailing
in those few moments.
What a sense of peace …
What a sense of freedom …
