You fly on wafts of lilac
Blue eyes washing over me with the tide
Following the moon that’s the cheese with our wine.
Yes, we can fly on lilac wafts through the dampened clouds
Spreading the flowery scent across the lavender sky
And gather rainwater to drink as it’s cried.
Has life ever held this much bliss in its generous hands
As it has now, darling?
I thought not.
Do you think it ever will again?
I don’t know either.
I hope so.
