I've always been limited,
by words I cannot say.
I've always been afraid for you,
to think of me a certain way.

I usually just listened,
to what was on your mind.
I never got the chance to say,
the words I couldn't find.

Occasionally I'd try to talk,
but words sound better in my head.
Some times I think of what you should have heard,
the words I should have said.

So I write you all this message,
in fact, take it as a dare.
Tell people what you need to say,
whether or not you think they care.

Hi I like your poem don't get me wrong. I saw that you rhymed the 2nd and 4th line which was great but I think it would be even better if you rhymed the 1rst and 3rd line also so they would alternate. The rest of the poem was marvelous.

Hello there! :D

Since you don't have any grammatical mistakes at all, I'll jump the nitpicking and talk about the whole poem itself.

I like the message of this poem --- people don't seem to say what they really think anymore. But anyway, I don't have anything bad to say about this poem, so I'll stop here.

Keep writing! :D

you'll never find another sweet little girl with sequined sea foam eyes
ocean lapping voice, smile coy as the brightest quiet span of sky
and you're all alone again tonight; not again, not again, not again.
and don't it feel alright, and don't it feel so nice? lovely.

Sceamandshout, you have finally spoken! It is a wonderful message, and I do agree, we all just need to say what's on our minds every once in a while.

Were you afraid for yourself, or the audience of this poem? I tend to think that what you were going to say might sound wrong. You weren't afraid that it would suddenly hurt the audience to think of you a certain way. I might change the last two lines of this stanza to, "I've always been afraid that you/would think of me a certain way." Does that make any sense?

"Sometimes" is one word.

Other than that, this poem is absolutely brilliant. You deserve a *like*, and you have to understand that only two nitpicks from me is incredible.

i like the moral your poem took. it was something different. and your rhyme scheme was simple but good. it was kind of sad, and melancholy. those kinds of poems are the best in my opinion. regrets and sorrows are the best inspiration for poetry....
