Intro/Verse 1:
You are my best friend
and you have been there from the very start
You’ve been there to guide me
and everything you’ve done has came from the heart
Even in the tough times now
I know we can find our way through it
I’m sorry that I’ve let you down
but I promise I’ll make it up to you

Bridge:
I will always be there every time you need me
I will always be there even if you can’t see me
because …

Chorus:
Even through an earthquake
I will be there to soften the impact
and even in a hurricane
I will be the bricks covering you
Even through a thunderstorm
I will shelter you from the pain
and even in a flood
I will dry the waters down for you

Verse 2:
When you are lonely
and you think about people from the past
I will stay and listen to you
And I will stop you from going too fast
When you are depressed
and you think about what happened in a fight
I will stay and talk to you
and I’ll tell you that everything will be all right

(Bridge)

(Chorus) (x2)

Outro:
I will always be there
forever and ever (x2)
I will stand by you
together forever (x2)

Buna dimineata! Good Morning! Just to start off I would like to remind you these are my
opinions as a song writer.

Lets start with the beggining haha. The first four lines have a pretty simple rhyming pattern, be becarefull when using words like "very" or "really" and even "truly" in front of a word (like you have in line two) I view them as filler words. You don't HAVE to say them, and the only time I find them to be of nessessity is when you need them so the beats will match. When reading it the "very" left a bitter taste in my mouth so I would (key word being) suggest taking it out. Another suggestion is on line four it seems rather wordy. O inghititura, A mouthfull. Now if it works in the melody, then don't change it but for the beats sake
JohnTavani wrote:and everything you’ve done has came from the heart
would flow better if it was "and all you do is from the heart"

The second set of four lines is a totally different rhyme pattern. Your first one was LineRhymeLineRhyme and this one is RhymeLineRhymeLine. Example Lady Gaga's song "Just Dance" the first four lines have the same rhyme pattern. RhymeRhymeLineLine, and she doesnt change it in the second four lines. The verse pattern remains uniform thhheeennn is changed up in the hook&chorus. Most songs go by the principle. In your' four lines all that would be needed is to switch it around. "I know we can find our way through it, Even it tough times now. I promise i'll make it up to you, I'm sorry i let you down." but as i've stated parerea mea, my opinion.
Bridge was good and I feel like i'm never at liberty to say anything about the chorus, because that to me is the writers soul, the reason he's writing the song just to get to THAT point. Most people would say it doesnt rhyme, it doesnt flow, etc. but the chorus can be anything. I feel like I must say, even the harshest critics shouldn't critize the soul of the song but eh parerea mea, my opinion.

Verse Two: See this is the rhyme principal i was talking about! Each sentence, thought, four lines, whatever. Has the same rhyming pattern! As for lyrics is it extremely crucial that the friend is thinking about people from the past? That part parerea mea, my opinion, could be etched out to
JohnTavani wrote:When you are lonely
and you think about people from the past
I will stay and listen to you
AndI will stop you from going too fast
Line two, what about "And thinking of the past" and fourth line "I will stop you from going to fast." Same in the last second set of four lines
JohnTavani wrote:When you are depressed
and you think about what happened in a fight
I will stay and talk to you
and I’lltell you that everythingwill beall right
to "When you are depressed, and thinking of a fight, I will stay and talk to you, I will tell you everything's alright" parerea mea, my opinion.

The rest is beautiful. Thank you for standing to read all of this and good luck. Remember parerea mea, my opinions, this is what I think.

Love love, Leyah.

YAAAAAAAAA

This is pro. I'm not a professional songwriter - merely a listener. But, parerea mea, my opinions, I think this song has the potential to be really catchy. Despite the song not actually being sung, you can practically hear every nuance of every instrument (that would be used). It's extremely uplifting. The lyrics are as positive and affirmative as anything I've ever heard in uh, rock/pop.

I have to admit though; some of the lyrics are a little corny. e.g. "Even in a flood, I will dry the waters down for you". Additionally, something doesn't sound right about the line, "In a hurricane/I will be the bricks covering you". My complaint is that, physically, bricks will offer little to no protection in a wild wind storm. Consequently, your listeners are bound to pick that up and ultimately, it undermines the whole quality of the song.

I like how you've themed the song around commitment and monogamous friendship. Whoever you wrote this for is a very lucky person.

Ciao Ciao, L. Branson
The worse thing I can be is the same as everybody else.

Hi Leyah!

Thanks for deconstructing my song for me, I appreciate it. Yes I didn't realise till you mentioned it that the first verse changes rhyme mid-verse. Like you said it's a simply fix by just re-arranging the lines. I too also like the bridge as for me it's a strong built to the chorus in the meaning sense, even though it may not easily blend into the chorus regarding the rhyme scheme.

Verse two is slightly disoriented I must confess. I absolutely agree with each of the line cutouts you suggested as they can lose or confuse the main message that I am trying to get across to my friend. I will strongly consider changing them to go to the same rhyme.

Thanks again for being absolutely honest and taking the time to review my song.
John. :)

Hi Laurence!

Thanks for taking the time to review my song and the overall positive comments you have made about it. To answer your question, yes the song is designed to fit in the pop rock genre, more specifically, soft rock.

I have to admit I agree that some of the lyrics in the song, particularly in the chorus are a little "corny". However I didn't believe that some people, like yourself, would have taking the lyrics in a literal sense. My main concern is that the main message I am trying to convey through this song is at least able to be identified by the listeners. By the way, didn't the brick house from the "Three Little Pigs" resist the force of the "Big Bad Wolf's" breath which was said to resemble that of a hurricane? So I can argue your point. However I hope it didn't take to much meaning away from you though and I apologise it did.

Thanks again for being absolutely honest and taking the time to review my song.
John. :)
