The Doom

It begins...
the doom starts,
the masters of torture prepare.
We labor under the weight,
we break under the stress.
Our brains explode from strain.
We wander the deep and dark tunnels.
The bell rings,
and we moap
into our classrooms grumbling.

Hehehe... this was just kind of my frustrations of school starting again. Ugh. It's just a funny poem for me. :P

I think this belongs in the 'Other Poetry' instead of 'Dramatic Poetry.' But anyways...

and we moap
Typo, I think... mope?

It was really lighthearted and nondescriptive... I guess that was the intent, but putting the poem under Dramatic Poetry kind of maked me expect a more serious poem.

Ahh good ol' school...

It almost reminded me of how education kills our brains so we can't write anything creative anymore. The monotony of the lines almost portrayed that to me. I don't know if that was the effect you were going for, but I liked it.
