Race for Freedom

In the 1800's many slaves escaped from the plantations on which they were kept. In this storybook a group of young slaves have escaped from Redwood Plantation. They are on their way to freedom, but police and a few of the plantation owners sons are after them. You are either an escaped slave, a policeman , or a son.
Out you are captured you are either killed or sent back to Redwood, if back at the plantation, you may try to escape again.

Personality: Shanda doesn't really do what she's told but she does what she has to to stay alive. Her main focus is herself and the other slaves around her. She's not afraid to fight if she has to.

History: Shanda was born a slave. For eight years she has been worked to the bone. She always helps the other slaves before she helps herself.

Skills: Shanda is usually used as a cook and a maid. She is also good at making people feel better.

Appearance: Shanda has one of the lighter skin-tones out of the slaves. She has brown eyes that look like melted chocolate. She is slim and and tall. She keeps her black hair in a braid down her back. She has a scar on her left cheek from a previous owner's child.

Personality- Kind, gentle-hearted, thoughtful, sensitive, selfless, hard-working, determined, and a hard-worker.

History- Sarah has been a slave ever since she could walk. Born into slavery, her parents gave birth to her in the farm that they worked on, and protected her with their lives. Their slave-master, Nicholas Bevon, allowed her to stay, as long as when she reached the age of 3, she would begin serving him along with her family.

Skills- Weaving, she's a fast runner, talking her way out of sticky situation, patchwork, stitching, sewing, and cooking.
