God: Just a theory of the biggest question chapter 1.1

Is God a variable? (I would like to thank Tuukka Aka Nightynight gobbo for helping me with this)

In the bible it says that God created man in his own image, but I think were looking at this wrong. When it says that in the image of God, did they really mean we look like him?
I beg to differ.

Look at this theory:

God = holy trinity = Father + Son + Holy Spirit

Human = Mind + Body + Soul


Now let us look at this theory more closely.

The “Son” in God of course represents Jesus the living image of God on earth, or in other words: his body.
The “Holy Spirit” is a spirit that controls good deeds and whatnot, or in other words the “soul” of God.
Which makes “Father” God’s “Mind”.

Let us re-arrange the theory:

God created man in the image of himself.

Father + Son + Holy Spirit = God

Mind + Body + Soul = Human

(Father = Mind) + (Body = Son) + (Holy Spirit = Soul) = God and/or Human.

Now let us look at God in mathematical value. God is absolute, he is not a part of anything. So we give God the most absolute value: the number 1.
God may also be number -1. Therefore God’s absoluteness is represented by plus/minus 1.

Let us make this into a calculation by giving values to the holy trinity which must equal to the number 1:
Holy trinity = Father (plus/minus 1) + Son (plus/minus 1) + Holy Spirit (plus/minus 1)

In other words:
God or plus/minus 1 = plus/minus 1 + plus/minus 1 + plus/minus 1

And in this calculation two of the variables must be of the same absolute value and one different since God must be absolute and 3 is not an absolute number, so two of them must be the same and one different so either : 1 + 1 – 1 or -1 -1 + 1 .
So God is plus/minus 1 or in other words God is a variable.

Why on Earth would you attempt such a ballsy thing, Lord Anzius? :p

You cannot quantify supernatural entities. If that were true, then the scientific community would be able to prove/disprove the existence of Vishnu, Yahweh, Allah, or Zeus.

But maybe I have you wrong. To be honest your essay is a little vague. You should begin with a stronger and clearer thesis statement.

Your argument would fail the instant you acknowledge the existence of souls and deities, and so I am not sure how to review this piece. I personally cannot say much about your argument as it lies in the realm of theology which doesn't deal with empirical matters, but rather spiritual and religious ones.

I do enjoy your format and streamlined presentation which makes it clear to follow.

I love it when I come across something written cleverly and for a light bit of amusement. And even more so when the writer pulls it off well. I don't really know what I'd call this - it's certainly not a story - maybe something like notes taken during Religion vs Maths 101 class?

Inkwell - I really don't think you need to be too harsh on the quantisation of supernatural entities. It's meant for a bit of humour and cleverness, that's all - I highly doubt that Lord Anzius is trying to set up some kind of religion or gospel; so really, no need to get all technical about it.

It's funny and I can't really fault the layout - it's clear and nicely step-by-step, which makes it all the easier to comprehend.

So...what I'm saying is that you don't really need my help. But - I'm curious - how did you come up with this? What train of thought led to this? Was it really your idea, or was it taken from somewhere and incorporated snugly into this layout, for our amusement?
