Lies

This is my first poem that I have made to rhyme. I hope it is okay.

I am no more than what is told,
but spread and unraveled to those who behold,
the soft words of that which is not true,
and lead to be more than one person is due.

But when you learn why I have been spun,
you shall learn why it has been done.
Maybe to make the hearer feel good,
or even to hide what may be understood.

The consequences that are made,
are by no chance going to fade.
For when I linger to your ear,
I make the truth simply disappear.

I am the lies that you once told,
and never thought they would unfold,
into the problems that have been caused,
because time was not taken for you to pause.

I like this!
It's really good for a first try,
way better than i could do(:

There were some parts where the meter kind of changes a little in the middle, but that's okay, i like it all the same(:

Hello there and Welcome to YWS! :D

First of all, I liked your rhyming scheme because everything seemed to rhyme well. I enjoyed the flow from the beginning until the end. If this was your first submitted work, well done!
If I'm right, I think there are no mistakes to be corrected here.

Keep writing!

Peace out!
