I never tried lyrics before and I thought it would be fun to try. :D Enjoy:

1) I saw them at the county fair,
She had blue ribbons in her gold-en hair.
We talked for a while like it was all good,
I sure wished he under-stood,
They way he looked at her.... it tore me a-part,
But then I say,

Chorus:
I'm happy for you,
God, look at you two,
You make quite a pair now.
But when I close the door,
My heart begins to pour.
I really want him back now.
But then I say,
I'm happy for you.

2) I boarded a train to Tennessee,
and I didn't believe just who I seen,
She smiled at me as he held out her hand,
I was stunned to see a wedding band,
But then I say,

Chorus:
I'm happy for you,
God, look at you two,
You make quite a pair now.
But when I close the door,
My heart begins to pour.
I really want him back now.
But then I say,
I'm happy for you.

3)Six years down the road,
I seen her at the grocery store.
and in the cart I saw two little girls,
only a year old with little blond curls,
So I said,
And I really meant this,
And so I said,
Chorus
I'm happy for you
God, look at her,
You've made quite a family
I'll never close the door,
my heart will never poor,
I no longer want him back now,
And so I say,
I'm Happy for you.
I'm really Happy for you.

and I didn't believe just who I seen,

and I didn't believe just who I'd seen

my heart will never poor,

It should be "pour".

I don't really know how to review lyrics yet... I like how it rhymed. The imagery was nice. Keep on lyric-ing!

Aw, this song was sad and sweet at the same time. I could definitely see it as a country song, acoustic or pop-ish. I think it was cool to see the progression that the singer/narrator made through the choruses.

In the second verse, third line down, I was slightly confused as to who the singer saw. Was it just the wife or the couple? I'd just like a little clarification, but other than that I thought this was well done. :)

Hello there!

Your lyric's fine and good actually. :D
"They way he looked at her.... it tore me a-part" - shouldn't "They" be "The"? I think it's just a typo but anyway, I really like the story beneath the lyrics.
It's like "Mary's song- Oh my my my" by Taylor Swift. :D

Keep writing!

Peace out!
