Hey, just checking in again.
If you've ever wanted to meet the hilarious and talented Flemzo from YWS, you might possibly have a chance!
Starting April 23, the Wartburg Choir is going on it's annual choir tour, and this year we're going South (as compared to East, like last year). If you can make it to a concert, please do, as it will be two years until the Wartburg Choir tours in the US again (next year is international tour, where I will yet again be posting a tour schedule).
These are the dates and places we'll be. If you're anywhere near any of these places, please come out and enjoy a show.
APRIL 23:
Trinity Lutheran Church
Mason City, IA
APRIL 24:
Our Savior's Lutheran Church
Sioux Falls, SD
APRIL 25:
Sheridan Lutheran Church
Lincoln, NE
APRIL 26:
Atonement Lutheran Church
Overland Park, KS
APRIL 27:
Tulsa Performing Arts Center*
Tulsa, OK
APRIL 28:
No concert**
APRIL 29:
Good Shepherd Lutheran Church
Manchester, MO
APRIL 30:
St. John's Lutheran Church
Springfield, IL
* We are at the Tulsa Performing Arts Center on this date only because it is a special joint concert with the Wartburg Choir and world-renowned opera stars Simon Estes and Denise Graves. It will be an altered performance from the other concerts.
** There is no concert on this date, as we have a free day from tour. This year, it is in St. Louis, MO. If you are in the area, I'm not sure where I'll be at any given moment, but we will be staying in a hotel that night. I'll for sure be at the City Museum, so during the day, you can find me there.
All of the concerts (except maybe the Tulsa one) are free of charge. Offering plates will be passed around during intermission for free-will offering to help pay for the tour costs. The concert will run about and hour and a half to two hours long, but even if you don't like choral music, you will stay entranced throughout the entire performance.
There is also a reception after each concert to meet and talk with choir members. I'll probably the the hairy one with no one talking to them (at least, that's how it was in Des Moines and Cedar Rapids this past weekend), so I'll be easy to find.
If you have any questions about where the churches are located (or what hotel I'm staying at in St. Louis and Tulsa), leave them here, or PM me, and I'll get back to you.
Hope to see you at a concert!
