Chapter 2
The warmth of the morning Sun woke me up from my sweet dreams.
I looked all around and discovered that except for some large crows and some ugly, brown frogs there was no one around.
She was gone, and I hadn't even asked her her name!
How stupid of me.
But then I realized that I should be going too.
So I once again turned into vapor and flew home.
The Royal Palace, my home, was a gigantic castle that was made of gold. It floated high in the sky, clearly as a symbol that Gods were above mere mortals. During the day it shined like another Sun in the sky.
It's luxury and grandeur was so much that the gold palace was fit only for the king of Gods.
But when you entered the Royal Palace, the luxury and the grandeur was multiplied by a million.
It's marble flooring, silver walls, art engraved ceilings studded with precious stones could make the most unimpressible god stare in awe with an open mouth.
But it was too easy to get lost inside the palace because of it's large and maze like network of rooms, which was it's only shortcoming.
And it's because of this shortcoming it was very easy to sneak into the palace and even easier when you're thin air.
When I returned to my balcony I found out that the door of my balcony was still open and my room was untouched.
I took a breath of relief; no one knew that I was away.
I quickly closed the balcony door and slid into the warm blankets of my huge, marble cup shaped bed, hoping that everybody will be fooled.
I stared into the fresco in the ceiling, depicting beautiful angels.
I remembered that naked, long haired girl who I fell in love with yesterday.
I wrapped my arms around myself and cherished the moment we were entwined.
I closed my eyes and smiled.
I remembered her face, her beauty, her soft charm. I recalled her slender body, her pretty face, her twinkling eyes, her thin nose, her perfect lips and everything else.
Suddenly I felt that someone was standing by my side.
Upon opening my eyes I found a winged figure, with short, brown hair and very thin body naughtily smirking at me.
It was my elder sister Fragrance.
"Why is Papa's boy smiling on his own?"
I was father's favorite child.
"Nothing." I replied blushing.
"I can see it in your eyes, you're in love aren't you?" She said with her smirk getting enlarged.
"Maybe." I said blushing even more than before.
"Tell me about it." She said tugging at my shirt.
"OK. But promise me you'll not tell anybody."
"I swear I won't."
So I told her everything that had happened, my transformation, the dancing girl, how I fell in love with her, how I healed her and everything else.
"So you can transform now?"
"Yup!"
"My brother is growing up huh?" She said pulling my cheeks.
Transformation is a very common ability and was generally used for styling yourself.
But it could only be learnt after the onset of adolescence and not before.
"Is it alright to be with a human being?"
"Do you really love her?" She asked.
"Yes very much."
"Then it's perfectly alright." she said smiling. "And don't be afraid of father, love the one you want."
"Have you ever been in love?" I asked.
Now it was her turn to blush.
"Yes I have."
"Tell me about it then."
"Sure, but it'll have to be a secret between you and me forever. Understand?"
"Fine."
So she began narrating her story, the finest I had ever heard.

Araya Firestar was the most amazing guy I had ever seen.
His wheatish complexion, his short, spiked hair, his pointed elf-like ears and his small cute eyes made him the most wanted boy in the Royal God School.
Plus there were rumors that he was also a poet.
So when I found out a black cat with white stripes with a love poem around it's neck, I knew from whom it could be.
It read-
'I love you,
More than the Sun,
Loves the Moon.
I love you,
More than a song,
Loves it's tune.
I love you,
More than the night,
loves the dark.
I love you,
More than a match,
loves it's spark.
I love you,
More than the sky,
Loves the sea.
I love you even more than me.'
And at the end it was written-
'P.S. Will you be mine?'
I was overjoyed!
My school's most wanted boy had just proposed me!
So the next day I took him to an isolated corner of the huge school, as the personal lives of royal people should be hidden from the public, and confessed that I loved him and wanted to be with him.
Though he accepted, but quite strangely he acted surprised. But I didn't heed much to this strange behavior.
I also told him to keep our relationship a secret and he agreed.
That day we didn't talk anymore, as I didn't want anyone to even suspect anything.
I didn't even tell my best friend Salima.
After all he could be the future king.
The following days we talked through telepathy.
He recited poems that he wrote for me everyday.
I told him that he was a fantastic poet and that I loved his poems.
I also told him that I loved him too and he told me the same.
Day-by-day our relationship grew and our love deepened.
He even stealthily came into my room every night and we would talk and kiss for hours until dawn arrived and forced him to leave.
I became so involved in this relationship that I completely ignored everyone else, even the people who were the most important for me earlier.
I didn't spend time with my beloved brother, I completely ignored my best friend, she tried to talk to me but I didn't care about her telepathic signals or her letters sent through different animals.
The only time I spent with others was the dinner time, and that too because it was a tradition and a rule made to strengthen the relationship between the royal family; It maybe a small thing but politically it's very wise as it maintains unity.
But this time also seemed like torture, and I hated each and every second of it.
And so you can clearly make out how much I was in love with him, enough to even marry him.
One day when the Sun had set but the night was young, he came in through the balcony, invisible as usual.
I was taking a nap in my bed.
He slowly crawled into my blanket and climbed over me, waking me up. I could see a special, romantic twinkle in his eyes. He came close to my ear and whispered in his husky voice- " I want to make love to you."
I smiled and replied with a passionate kiss.
His hands slowly slid into my clothes.
But just then a servant entered the room and Araya quickly disappeared again.
"Madame." she said bowing. "Your friend Miss Salima has come to meet you."
"I am coming. Tell her to wait." I said, quite irritated.
I quickly tidied myself and ran down the waiting room.
There she was sitting on one of the ultra-modern, leather chairs, wearing a black dress with a gold belt which got on well with her fair skin and long hair.
"Are you angry with me?" She asked almost in tears.
"Why would I be?" I asked quite perplexed.
"Because of the letter."
"Which letter?"
I was very confused by now.
"In which I had written a poem for you and had proposed you."
Thunder struck me.
"Did you send it through a cat?" I asked.
"Yes it was a black one with white stripes."
I collapsed with shock.
Salima and the servant came running towards me. They lifted me and put me on the chair.
Salima told the servant to go away when I started weeping.
She desperately tried to calm me and repeatedly apologized. After a while when I was able to talk again I told her everything that had happened.
She asked me to recite one of his poems. I did.
She told me that it was some another poet's poem; Salima loved literature.
I asked Salima to excuse me and I went back to my room.
Upon seeing me enter, he quickly reappeared, now completely naked.
I slapped him hard, he was taken completely off-guard.
"You bastard!" I screamed.
"How dare you do this to me! You thought you could impress me with someone else's poems and use me? Guess what you can't now go away you filthy rat!"
"No!" He screamed pulling me into the bed, climbing over me and holding me tight.
I tried to struggle but he had hypnotized me with his eyes, now my brain had no control over my body.
But just when he was trying to rip off my clothes a stone statue came swirling out from nowhere, hitting his head hard.
It was Salima who had just used telekinesis to throw that stone statue on him.
After he was thrown off and our eye contact was broken my brain regained control and I ran to Salima.
Then Salima used telekinesis again to throw him out of the room into the balcony.
Araya then fled for his life.
I was shaken from all that had happened. I constantly weeped, holding Salima tight.
She put me to bed and slept beside me all through the night.
I felt ashamed; I had ignored her for that pig, but still she stood beside me.
The next day I woke up earlier than her.
I opened and read all her letters which I had not even touched until now.
In all the letters, in all their sentences she had written how much she loved me, how much she cared for me, and how much she wanted me. And in the end of all the letters she apologized and said that if I felt weird than she would'nt even come close to me, but begged me to at least reply once.
But the most important thing in these letters was that her honesty was clearly visible. She didn't dress up her letters with sophisticated words and complex sentences. She just spilled her heart in them.
Reading all this my heart was filled with a strange mixture of guilt, shame and also that of affection.
When Salima woke up I told her that i had realized that no one could be better for me than her and hence I had decided to be with her.
Upon hearing this she hugged me and I kissed her on the cheek.
At that moment I felt a different kind of love, a love that sees no boundaries,a love that doesn't need a touch to be complete, a love in which only souls mate and not the bodies, a love which is always sacred.
