Elena stared blankly at the wall. The moment when he, Daniel, the most popular guy in school had asked her out, she had been so nervous she lied to him about some Aunt who had a contagious disease that she had to care for. How stupid, she thought now, why would I turn him down?
He had just simply walked up to her and said, " Hey Ella, you free Saturday?"
"I-it's Elena, and no I have to, uh, take care of a sick Aunt." She had spit out. She had turned away quickly and let her silky blond hair swipe across is face in a flirty way a trudged away. But now as she thought about it she wondered why she lied anyways.
"I was nervous." She thought aloud to herself. She looked up as a Daniel passed by her spot and smiled, drawn to him she followed. "Daniel, if you still want to we could go out later tonight, my Aunt doesn't mind." She said nervously catching up with him.
"OK." He said with a smile. Not being able to control herself she stopped him in his tracks and planted a kiss on his lips."There, now you don't have to do that with me later tonight,"
Daniel stared blankly ahead and then handed her an address. "Meet here in one hour, just skip the rest of school and I'll make an excuse for you."
Elena stared at him blankly as he turned away. She unfolded it and there was a short poem,
You have chosen your very own fate, meet me here at three'o'eight.
6758 Walnut Street
*********
"Daniel, where are you?" Elena called out as she scoured Walnut Street. She perked her ears for the slightest noise and jumped when a soft tune began to play eerily. "Daniel?" she asked. The music grew louder when she came to an alley.
"Daniel?" she asked as he smiled.
"I prefer to be called my real name." His lips curled into a snarl as he pounced her. Inch long fangs emerged from his gums and she screamed when he stuck them into her neck, absorbing all of her blood like a sponge. "Night night, princess." He dropped her limp body and ran as a cop car drove by. The cop turned his head just as soon as he disappeared into the darkness.
