I posted this in my blog, but I figured it belonged here too. :)

With the "Items with 0/1 Comment(s)" lists in Recent Additions, it's a good idea to wait until you've gotten two reviews before replying to your story. If you only reply after one comment, then you're basically removing your work from where future critics might see it. That might be the only place they see it, considering the number of works in any given forum and some critics' schedules. Those lists are free advertising! No posts required to get your story in a place people will see it. (Not to mention, it's recommended you look at the Items with 0/1 Comment(s) lists when looking for things to review)

Also, a lot of critics look for works that have zero replies if they're just looking at the forums. As Sureal pointed out in my blog, it's a good idea to wait, and not post on the thread asking for reviews. Plus, if you post right after your own story, then you're removing it from one of the lists mentioned above. ;) If you want to get certain people to look at your story, post in Will Review for Food (But please only ask for two/three reviews at a time, and check what people review before asking for one. :))
