Natasha~
I turned around at the sound of the voice. Before anything, I whirled around and caught the girl in an arm-lock.
"Tasha, do we welcome guests that way?" Simon said after a pause, trying to keep the new mood light.
"Sorry, I'm a little uptight." I gently released her and she stepped back shaking her arm out.
"Who are you?" Jack asked blatantly.

"I'm Angelica." She answered. "And you, for the second time."

I stood there wondering if I liked her very much. She was totally someone who I'd have been friends with at school, sarcastic, blunt, tough.

"We should go, Ali's got the subjects, and that's all we wanted. Let's take Angelica with us. If she's a spy for the Grey Creek Mall kids we're killing her though." We've been getting a lot of pain from the stupid group who camped out in Grey Creek Mall.

"Who are you?" She nearly yelled.

"I'm Jack, this bitch is Natasha, that's Ali, Simon, James." Jack said, clearing everything up for her nicely. I didn't care, I'd leave him a little gift in his cot later.

"Let's move out." Simon said, looking once more at the wolves and then heading towards the door. Jack kept watch of Angelica. We were the best welcoming committee ever.

Simon~

"I apologize for the warm welcome" Simon said, "As you can guess we're a little up tight now a days."

Natasha snorted "Little you can barely call this living."

"Don't listen to her" Jack put in "She's just bitching." Natasha glared at him and Simon could see that once more another fight on its way.

"Alright come on guys lets go before the grownups come!"
"Insert life changing statement"

Quick A/N: I’m not sure how long Ali has been there but I just thought I’d make it seem long.

After the girl, Natalie or something got me in a arm hold, I used all my energy not to kill her point-blank. It would have been so easy, a well placed elbow to her lungs, a roundhouse to her kidney…

3 hours later and I still kept my tranquilizer in my boot. I kept mostly to myself, looking around the Wal-Mart they had inhibited. Considering the groups of kids I had seen on the way here, these kids were well off. I remember one group that had resorted to cannibalism, eating the remains of their friends and family. Mental shudder on that one.

“Hey, how do you like it here? I‘m new too. How old are you anyway?” a girl I think was named Ali asked.

“Oh, I turned 14 a couple months ago. I like it here, it’s a hell lot better than the last group I had run into. Almost starving, tried to fucking eat me.” I replied, not really wanting to talk.

“Well, we’re in Wal-Mart so we’ve got loads of food. We just have to guard ourselves carefully from thieves, stupid Grey Creek Mall kids” she said.

“Oh I’ve gotten "mugged" like a billion times, of course the stuff they stole was always poisoned.” I said.

“We don’t have many offensive moves unless we’re gonna chuck boxes of Ziploc at them. We‘ve got sling shots and Natasha and Blowtor-I mean Adam makes small bombs, traps and fire torches but sometimes it‘s not enough”, she said bitterly. I wonder how many times they had to throw plastic bags at there invaders.

“I’m not sure I’ll stay very long but I can help set up some bombs around here. I’ve got the stuff to make them. Can anyone here help?” I asked.

I don’t know why but the sight of this place, with the little kids giggling, the older kids talking or eating made me feel I don’t know strange. In a good way. Ali was really nice but probably not someone I would want to hang out with in school. She was too sweet and innocent. Then suddenly I jerked back into reality.

“So, you can make bombs?” Natasha said.

“Speak of the devil” I muttered before turning over to her.

Name: Nick Quartz

Age: 12

Appearance: Wears a red t-shirt and jeans, with a black fedora on his head, covering his hair. His eyes are green, and is generally well built.

Personality: Nick's the kid who always wanted to be a superhero; he's practically fearless, has a grin on at all times, and loves to be active, be it running, basketball, or fighting.

Job: Solo; Combat Professional

History: Nick was the social king at school. He was in every activity, was friends with everybody, and had a rich, fun father to go back to every day. The epidemic first came during his basketball practice, when his coach attacked one of the kids. Nick wanted to be a bit of a savior, and threw the ball at his head. It knocked him down, and Nick ran out. He saw the epidemic going around, and his exact word to describe it, was "Cool".

Nick quickly ran off to find some weaponry, and started killing his way to a different bit of food every day. He's never been with another kid since the epidemic came along, and is a little upset about that, but for the most part, he just keeps on happily fighting along.

Weapon: Nick's favorite thing to use is a metal baseball bat he came across in a sport shop. It's light, damn-near indestructable, and with Nick's physical strength it can do a lot of damage.

Also: I plan to get him close to the other characters when I can. For now, I'm going to do a bit of an individual introduction for him, and connect him with others in a bit.

Nick~

"Have some of THIS!" I yelled. I hit him right in the crotch with a stab of my bat. I gave him a strong swing to the head, and he went down.

That's 16 in the past 4 days, if I'm not mistaken. The best one, though, is still the guy that I hit in the head and pushed him out a window. I think that one landed on another guy, too.

That's plenty of time walking around, seeing the sights. I'm always amazed how much of New York I've never been to. It makes it kinda fun walking around. But of course, it's giving me way more of an appetite. I looked at my watch; 3:00. There's got to be somewhere to eat around the block.

I walked over to a window. Smoke, glass, bodies, and...light? Light'd mean people, which means food. That seems like a good place to get going. Only 5 blocks or so away.

I went over to the stairs and then noticed the elevator open and broken, but the wire was still there. Why not? I turned to the elevator door and slid down the shaft.

"Weeeeee!", I said. Why wouldn't I? I'm sliding down eight or nine floors! It's fun!

I hit the ground and went out. The guy I killed in the lobby had a pistol! What luck! Wow, he's got another 20 clips. I grabbed it, opened up the door, and started running off to where that light was. It's about time I do some running.

All I'm hoping at this point, is that the people are nice. I haven't seen something that doesn't need to die in a while. It'll be nice to have someone to actually speak to. Chances are, everyone'll just love me. Maybe I'll become head of the group. Only one way to find out.

Hey dont take this in a bad way but this is pretty unbelievable for a 10 year old. I suggest making him 12 at least. You don't have to, it would just be much more believable.

Just randomly insert yourself then. Cus this was interesting and it would be a shame to have it die out.
