Anyone been watching them?
So far, I think they've been a little dissapointing. Both Planet of the Dead and The Waters of Mars had their really good moments, the former more so than the latter, but both sotrylines were a bit weak, and... overcrowded, somehow. The Maritan water-parasites had the potential to be such fantastic villians, but acting/directing issues led to them being portrayed like B-movie zombies. :\ Adelaide, Lady Christina and the scientist bloke played by Lee Evans were really great characters that it was easy to relate to- no problems there. The fly creatures in Planet of the Dead were unneccesary, I thought. It might have been better for The Doctor and Christina to find their spaceship already abandonded.
I do have high hopes for The End of Time, though. I don't know what I can say, seeing as not everyone will have spolied themselves with as many youtube clips as me :) but it looks fantastic! All the quirk and tension that makes all the best Who episodes seems to be there, and the Ood are back! Which is good. Very good.
So. Your thoughts?

Oh, I love David Tennant. I'm really going to miss him. He looks very good for 38... *swoons* Too bad he's old enough to be my dad. He doesn't look it.

I haven't seen the first End of Time yet - I blame my grandparents for timing dinner at 6 - but I'm watching them both tomorrow, and I have high hopes. I love this guy as the Master. He's great!

I agree about the specials before. They haven't been as good, but I suppose it's difficult without a constant companion the writers have really got good at writing. Although...
Spoiler
Donna's grandad's in the End of Time ones, and he's a great character...

I hope the End of Time is good. I have a friend obsessed with DW who tells me rumours... such as
Spoiler
the Doctor tells a younger version of Rose that he's in love with her and then takes it from her memory
except I don't believe that one.

Yep. Tomorrow will be an interesting day.

I love Doctor Who, I can't believe David Tennant left. Has anyone got the scoop on why he actually did it? I think it might of been this Hamlet production he did, I enjoyed that too, but I'm not sure. I cried at the end but that might just be me... Doctor Who better be good this year otherwise I'll start several groups saying he has to come back. It annoys me when a good doctor leaves, he didn't even die battling the Master! URGH! I can't believe the ending either. Who's your favourite assistant? Mines Martha... :)
