In studying the smoking gun
that is poetry,
I've came across
things such as
assonance
and repetition,
end rhyme
and alliteration.
These things I know not,
the mechanics and workings
of the printed word,
I don't know how
to control.
For I am no poet
on the outside
nor am I a poet
on the inside,
there's an essence
deep within
that is poetic
that runs its course
through my veins
To my fingers
and I merely transcribe
its thoughts.
I have no way
of guiding
nor helping
the flowing words
reach their destination.
As you can see
writing for me
is very different
I have no way with words;
The words have a way
with me.
