RIP Juddy.
__________________________________________________________________________
Juddy,
It hasn't rained once
since you died.
Strange, since the heavens should have already
split their roiling seams
- or so say the movie screens.
And although tears flood the lanes
of my dreams,
I havn't yet
actually cried.

Juddy,
I'm sitting on the pavement
where we grew up.
I'm surprised -
our scabby-kneed shadows
aren't tattood to the concrete, despite
so many sunsets playing
hide and seek,
so many sunrises waking
neighbours with Indian shrieks.

Juddy,
You were so beautiful to me
both inside and out,
(I think because you never saw
what shyness was about)
I wish I'd told you sooner -
but time ran through my fingers faster than liquid gold
and in paradise, things that are obvious aren't retold.

No clues
from the leaden sky above
No answers
from the concrete below
So I won't pretend to understand
why you had to go.
All I know is you're gone,
and I miss you.

But Juddy-
Suddenly-

I've just looked up, and it's begun to rain.
I think you are telling me
it'll be ok.
the sun's out
I'm surrounded by golden spray

And in every grounded raindrop
bursting with watery grace,
revealing the beauty encased
I can see
your face.

This is really incredible. The first and second bits are so sad they nearly made me cry  You have a real talent here - you should think about entering it into a competition (if it's not too person to do so).

I think there is only one weak part in this and that's this bit...

I just felt this wasn't as strong as the rest of it because I don't like the line about liquid gold and the bit in brackets sounds a bit out of place. The last two lines are a bit clunky, but the meaning is good. It's just my personal opinion, but I think you should maybe change parts of this verse to say what you want to say in a differnt way.

I absolutely love the last verse, it's beautiful. Thank you for sharing this with us.

I love her dearly, but I can’t live with her for a day without feeling my whole life is wasting away.
