I didn't much like the thought about Halloween, and I was wondering if anyone else felt the way I do. Vote for yourself, not what you think your friends would want.

For me, I'm always a bit torn about Halloween. I understand that most Christians avoid it, but I also love the idea of dressing up in costume. I *do* try to avoid that really dark Halloween stuff, like talking to spirits and etc. I don't usually go trick-or-treating. At my church, we have "Not-A-Halloween-Party" parties, where we dress in costumes--non-scary, because younger kids attend--play games, eat candy, and we have a short reading from the Bible. Mostly, it's a fellowship thing. You know, a chance to hang out with fellow Christian kids your age.

I freakin' love Halloween! I'm Wiccan and all about the deceased being closer to us and such. I'm also a bit dark, and love all the creepy, dark, head-banging festivities I enjoy while trick-or-treating with mah buddies.
Why have a special day for dressing up and eating candy? my church family has had several attacks during October. Many people have gotten sick, some people have seen evil symbols, such as the sign of sickness.... The pastor has a lawn business, and his equipment has been stolen...
