What do you think of them? Do you have any? If so, what/where? What are the best ones you've seen?

I might be getting a second tattoo tomorrow. My first one is a tiny heart on my hand, below my thumb. Means a lot of things to me, actually. The second one is gonna be a cute skull&crossbones symbol, on my hip. Third will probably be a celtic knot armband I've been saving up for and designing. Love love love them. ^^

I think that tattoo's are great, BUT only if it means something to you. I think it's incredibly pointless to get a tattoo of a butterfly because it's "pretty". Get something that you won't get over, something that's more of a trend.
Somebody gave me great advice once when I told them I want a tattoo. They said, "Find a picture, or a design that you like and look at it everyday. If in two years you're not sick of it - go for it."
I just have a problem finding a design that I like, or a design that means something to me.

One that I REALLY like, simply for the meaning behind it, is this one:

It is sanscrit for: "In order for your practice to be grounded in the Earth, it needs to be done consistently for a long period of time with devotion." (it's a yoga sutra)

I feel that if you have a tattoo it should be visible (not all the time, but not hidden away or anything) and tattoos on the pelvic bone remind me of "I'm hiding it from daddy".

If you're ever unsure, get a henna tattoo done first! They fade after 4-6 weeks but look pretty amazing for that time (perfect for summer, actually).

:) Good luck with it!

I think tattoos can be cool, but when used with restraint and if they have a meaning for the person getting them. (as Terpsichore said).

I think I would totally get a tattoo someday, but I've been told that if I get a tattoo I will be left out of the will...haha.

Good luck with your tattooing!

I want to get a cross with grunge-style edges, and it'd be on the inside of my right wrist.

If I ever got a tattoo (which I wouldn't: my dad would flip and I'm terrified of needles) I'd want to get a small, tasteful-looking Jesus fish or cross, maybe just below the back of my neck.
