Alrighty, so I am not a big song-writer, though occasionally I make an attempt. Today I randomly wrote these lyrics. Yes, this is not very good at all, but I figured I'd just share it with the awesome people on YWS and see what you guys have to say :D Hopefully you at least kinda enjoy it :-P

Burning White Flags

These blisters on my palms,
stand for something more
All your useless resolves,
and petty wars
Your countless contradictions
serve as polluted benedictions

(1! 2! 3!)

My head is aching,
my hands are shaking,
every heart I've ever had is breaking in two

But now is no time to surrender, (NO!)
We're just lonely diamonds in the rough
If you would just take the time to shine us up,
maybe things would get better but,
your expectations get lower and lower
It's like we are the grass, and you are the mower.

My scars are just proof
of the legends and stories,
of brave ones who fought, with valor and glory
we will take you down if its the last thing we do
shallow mistakes are traits that belong to you

My head is aching,
my hands are shaking,
every heart I've ever had is breaking in two

But now is no time to surrender, (NO!)
we're just lonely diamonds in the rough
if you would just take the time to shine us up,
maybe things would get better but,
your expectations get lower and lower
it's like we are the grass, and you are the mower

Everything you say, burns your tongue
Everything you do, breeds more scum
Ever life you take, haunts you to the ends of the earth
You sow with destruction, you reap all the pain,
but some lives your still yearning,
but our white flags are burning.

(B-b-b-burning
B-b-b-burning
B-b-b-burning... burning...)

If reading that was torture, sorry! If you liked it, awesome! :)

Wow. That was super amazing! I loved it! I could really feel what it was about and I loved the ending! And the title seemed to fit very well. I loved it how you said, "I'm like the grass and you're the mower," and about the scars and everything. I'll have to review more of your things! This was just amazing! Great job! :smt026
Sorrow lasts through this night
I'll take this piece of you,
and hold for all eternity
For just one second I felt whole... as you flew right through me.

I like it. I could hear this song beating away in my head as i was listening to it. I could definately see myself listening and liking this song.
Also, i love the lyrics:

"My scars are just proof
of the legends and stories,
of brave ones who fought, with valor and glory"

Sounds like this guy was doing it tough, trying to make it work but only getting cut down

As above "We are like the grass and you are the mower"

It all fits very well
Is it meant to be a sort of punk song. That was the feeling i got from it. Sort of up tempo some.
All in all a good job :)

Why thank you! Yep, that's pretty much what it's about. And yes, it's more of a punk song and definitely has an up-beat tempo :D Thanks for the reviews! :)
