This is basically a highschool drama, told through the diary entries of the three main characters. You may introduce other characters through these entries, but you're onnly supposed to write for the character you choose. They're all 16 years old, and all in the same class at school. This starts in the beginning of the school year, the first day being September 4. Here are their profiles:
Name: Nellie Skater
Personality: Nellie is considered by many to be a quiet, introverted person. However, she secretly enjoys company, and doesn't particularly like it when she's alone. She tries to get people to stay with her without outright telling them that she likes company, and this quite often fails. She has a very dry sense of humor, enjoys black comedy, and usually has low expectations for herself and for other people. Despite all this, she tries to be optimistic. She doesn't like to speak out.
Appearance: Nellie
Background: Nellie and Laura grew up together as best friends, often treating each other as sisters because neither of the two had any siblings. Their parents were also best friends, and they often got together, leaving the two young girls to play. Ever since Nellie could remember, she was always the leader.
When she was fourteen, she and Jason were paired up for a project and from then, she had a humongous crush on him. She always kept it a secret, knowing that Laura also felt the same about Jason. In school, she aspired to be a musician, and she plays the flute excellently. Her passion is to get a scholarship for music and head to university, but she is reluctant to do this as both Laura and Jason wouldn't be coming with her.
Name: Laura Parkinson
Personality: Laura is probably even more withdrawn than Nellie when around others, but she has gradually begun to open up. Around Nellie, she would be rambunctious, but she was usually the more well behaved of the pair. Other people would view her as a wallflower, and she's usually someone who you wouldn't notice inn a crowd. However, she's very intelligent and passionate about what she likes, and often comes out at the top of class.
Appearance: Laura
Background: Laura grew up alongside her best friend Nellie, and the two were practically inseparable. However, while Nellie preferred to spend most of her free time practicing her flute, Laura liked to go to a tennis or basketball court and play. Despite the apparent difference in interests, the girls stayed best friends for a long time.
Laura first noticed Jason only last year, when they competed against each other in a neighborhood basketball match. They were very intense rivals, yet after a while, Laura found herself falling for him. She was too embarrassed to say anything, though it was painfully obvious to Nellie. Laura is looking for a sports grant so that she can get into university and study history.
Name: Jason Copper
Personality: Jason is outgoing, and a risk taker. He is easy to rile up, and he's very persistent about what he wants. He's friendly to everyone and doesn't seem to have any enemies. However, he will become serious if he really wants to achieve something and will do whatever it takes to make his dreams come true.
Appearance: Jason
Background: Jason grew up in the same neighborhood as Laura and Nellie. It was a 'I know everyone but only met half of them' neighborhood, so he didn't associate much with them. He grew up with his older brother who absolutely loved sports and his single mother who often had to work late at night to support the family. Both sons have part time jobs at a different local shop, which they head to after school.
Jason honestly never gave that much thought to girls as he was growing up. He just saw them as other people, and had no intention of ever dating. However, ever since he and Laura played against each other in the basketball match, he found himself developing feelings for her. He didn't want anybody to find out, so he kept his feelings bottled up, until his older brother, Mark, found out. Mark has been giving him a few tips which couldn't be really considered helpful. However, he's also aware that Nellie has feelings for him, so he doesn't want to hurt her.
Jason intends to get into a university through a scholarship, but he has been saving up money for a long time if he didn't get in.
Now that the profiles are out of the way, it's time for the rules:
1. I've rated this only for language, but even so, please don't swear excessively.
2. I'm only allowing three people to sign up for each character. Don't hog all the posts, and try to keep it one diary entry per character per day at the maximum
3. Keep things reasonable. This is a regular highschool in a small town, where almost everyone knows each other. I really don't want extremely unlikely things happening.
This is a small town, so things happening in other places will also affect what's going on. Occasionally, I'll break in with a news article or the like, and we'll see where this goes, eh?
So, that's it. Just state who you want to be, and then you can begin when at least one person will post for each character.
