The Mummy's Revenge

The PLOT: Your character is a person in the the 1920's Egypt. You can be there for anything really, adventure, learning or even just a quick way to get rich. In the end you get pulled into the usual mummyrific adventure! You are all in Alexandria at the time.

How? Your character will see an add in the local paper advertising someone of your expertise (may it be bombs, brains, multilingual, food, fighting skills ect.) Your character will be offered a share in a certain treasure and you must ALL have reasons for the money or you can be lame and do it for the experience.


If you haven't seen the movies: The Mummy is an adventure movie series where there is a man by the name of Rick O'Connel. The whole story is how they basically raise a mummy by mistake, it wants to take over the world and they have to stop it. yadda yadda yadda .

Nationality: German
Weapon of choice: He has a revolver and isn't a bad shot.
Looks: Dark brown hair, light blue eyes, spectacles. 5'10", lean and sinewy.
Why they are doing it?: Actually, he came to Alexandria to help build a road, but when he got here he found that they'd hired him preemptively, the plans to build had been scrapped, and he wouldn't be getting paid. His wallet was stolen soon after his arrival, so he was in desperate need for the money. Generally he wouldn't have applied for a job like this as there's treasure involved, and where there's treasure there's generally trouble, but he didn't have much choice.
Job: explosives technician
Why are you in Alexandria in the first place?: As stated previously, he came to help build a road, but that didn't happen.
Other: Hans feels that he is one of the unluckiest people in the world. Circumstances do often seem to go against him. Speaks English fluently but as might be expected has an accent. Open for love, I suppose.

Name: Samantha (Goes by Sam) Granger
Age: a Fresh 19
Gender: Female
Nationality: American by birth butt grew up around the world.

Weapon of choice: Her father left her an old Smith and Wesson (1917 model) and she can basically fight with what ever is around her, sometimes even resorting to fists.

Looks: Curly brown hair that is cut in a bob cut manner (the fashion at the time) and a pair of full lips. She has bright green eyes, since she's a woman she doesn't get taken seriously easily. But don't worry she packs a punch.

Why they are doing it?: Her father and her landed in Alexandria 6 years ago (he is a abroad professor) and soon started to research the local mummies. Oh course when the team finally discovered something big (3 years later) the expedition was shut down by the locals and the team members were put in jail fo trespassing. . They had found an early version of a compass, but it was broken so it was deemed useless. The father gave it to Sam before he died in prison

Personality: Someone you shouldn't mess with but great to have as a friend. She protects most people even if they shrug her off because she is a woman. She likes to laugh and talk to new people because sometimes that's the closest you can get to adventure.

I wanna be the navigator.... if someone would kindly explain to me what a 'navigator' does?

Navigator's the person who keeps the maps, figures out which way they should be going, etc. Basically it's a guide.

Name: Dwight Palmer

Age: 22

Gender: Male

Nationality: British

Weapon of choice: He uses whatever comes to hand (albeit with little skill), but keeps an elaborate Egyptian knife on him at all times. It's only somewhat practical, but it was given to him by his father when he was twelve.

Looks: Messy, brown-blond hair, with light blue eyes. He stands at a little over six feet, with an athletic build and tanned skin.

Why they are doing it?: Aside from English, he speaks Greek, Italian, and several dialects of Arabic. More importantly, he has made an extensive study of hieroglyphics, and can translate them easily. He's doing it mostly as an extension of that same study, and for the simple adventure of it.

Personality: He talks a lot, sometimes just to alleviate stress or fear, but listens just as well, two attributes that stem from his friendliness and eagerness to meet new people - something that helped a lot when he was learning languages. Ironically, he has difficulty opening up to others or expressing his feelings, and often comes off as a little awkward.

Job: Multilingual person (linguist?)

Why are you in Alexandria in the first place?: His family moved to Cairo when he was a young boy, and then Alexandria a few years later, and he has lived there for virtually his entire life. He discovered he had a talent for languages, and picked up several while speaking to both locals and migrants.

Age: 20

Gender: female

Nationality: Irish

Weapon of choice: Semi automatic pistol

Looks: She has light mix of brown eyes and green eyes, more green than anything. She has curly, deep red hair that goes down to her shoulder blades, although she usually keeps it up in a pony tail. She's short, standing at 5'4, but she's curvy. She also wears pants most of the time and a flannel shirt, with cigarettes tucked in her pocket.

Why they are doing it?: Back in Ireland, her Ma is struggling to keep up the bills. She has two younger brothers, Connor and Noah. Her Da died a few years ago and left them waist deep in debt. It's now come down to they either pay the bills or lose the small house they already have now.

Personality: A strong and independent girl who isn't afraid to speak her mind or use her fists.

Nationality: American

Weapon of choice: Anything that he can get his hands on. Keeps two Egyptian daggers and two pistols.

Looks: 6'0, black hair and dark green eyes. He usually wears long trousers and short sleeved shirts. His hair is always messy. tanned skin and not a very athletic build, but has mastered several arts of fighting.

Why they are doing it?: He had an addiction to maps, tunnels and navigational methods when he was small. Therefore he started learning everything known about navigating. Now he helps people to navigate in Egypt mostly for fun, riches and adventure.

Personality: He is eager to meet new people and converse with them. Usually gives directions and help only when asked something. People tend to hate him due to the fact that he trusts no one till they are deemed trustworthy by him.
