Chapter 10

A cold trickle down my neck woke me from my dreams. Repetitive, ice cold liquid was shooting itself down my back from somewhere under my hair line. Another shot of the it sped down my nose, I glanced curiously at the substance. It was a deep red colour. My head that was throbbing horribly. A hammering pain on the inside of my skull. The blood that resulted had woken me.
I attempted to move my arms. They felt oddly detached from my body. They were tied with what felt like thick rope behind my back. My body was pinned to a heavy wooden chair. It was hard and uncomfortable and the rope was forcing my back against a pointed supporting beam.
The room was dark and shadowed, the clecha criminal hang out. One light swung in the centre of the room, it was emitting very little light. The walls were dark, they contained mismatched bricks of all assortments and colours, but each looked like it would crumble under touch. The ceiling was low and arched, like some sort of vault.
There was a murmur from behind me, a deep gravelled voice. “You shouldn't have.” The voice was harsh with authority.
“I had no other choice. He was spying on us, what if he's from an official government group, trying to stop us?” It was the voice from the evening before. My mind was chaotic with memories.

“How long've you been there?” It was him. That man.

“And what if he is just a boy?” I heard the two men pacing.
“Do you want to take that chance?” The part Ursine, part Aryan spoke again.
“Well, what do we do now. I refuse to kill an innocent man.”
“How could he possibly have any innocence, no one who walks these streets are innocent. What are we doing now, but murdering an innocent man?”
“That's different. We will save millions, we will improve living conditions plus, all politicians are guilty to some extent.” A stiff chuckle sounded from both men.
An involuntary gasp escaped my lips as another drop of blood weaved its way down my cheek. It sent harsh shivers down my spine and quickened my breathing; but worst of all, it told the men I was awake.
They stood over me, casting black shadows over my cowering form. I should fight back, I am not a coward.
“Are you alright son?” It was the other man. I nodded, but just the vision of the second shadow, stooping above me, who I had fought so hard against, it stole the breath from my body.
“Spare me from having to watch this. He spies on us, then you treat him as a friend?” I flinched backwards from the voice, I could attach every ounce of pain that I was feeling to that tone.
“Innocent until proven guilty.” The man was maybe in his sixties. His hair was brown, but large grey streaks danced through it. He unknotted the ropes that restricted my arms and chest, freeing me from the chair. “So what were you doing on this street so late at night?” The man continued, calm clarity resonating through his voice. A snigger echoed from behind him.
“I... was walking.” My voice faltered. Another irritating laugh from behind.
“Walking?” The Aryan-Ursine had venom in his tone as he questioned a point; which you could tell was, in his opinion, already mute.
“Why were you walking? Where were you walking?” The man who stood in front of me seemed almost understanding. He was defending me against the other.
“I just wanted to get out, go for a walk- clear my head. No particular destination, just away.” Their searing eyes were judging me, I could feel it. My courage flourished under their stares. “So, are you going to kill me or let me go?” I watched each turn to the other, eyes meeting in a clash of opinion.
“Leave. Never come back. Never tell anyone about what you saw and if you do anything to cross us...” He didn't need to finish the sentence, it was easy to guess the answer... death. The man behind was attempting to restrain his anger.
As I left the building I heard shouting, a voice so unleashed that anger poured feely towards the man who had probably saved my life. My pace quickened, I began sprinting, the further from that room the better. I needed to clean myself up, if anyone who knew me saw the state of my face they would question what had happened and I wouldn't know how to answer.

Okay, so more descriptions on emotions. How did the fear feel, then the hot feeling of courage, and all of those. It's a nice chapter, you need to work on it to make it more dramatic. I [personally] would love it if he let something slip about Lilac, and the two would fire up again, wind up letting him go, when they actually keep an eye on him, and when matters in the war get worse... fetch him. I love the way you write! Other than those few things I mentioned this was very nice - not brilliant as it should be for a groundbreaking chapter, but very, very nice. Work on making it stunning. Anything else you know how to reach me. It's nice to see you writing something at last ^ ^ Oh, and the descriptions at first - felt like I was there, feeling the blood. Well done.

"if you were waiting for the opportune moment... that was it." - Captain Jack Sparrow

It suddenly struck me that that tiny pea, pretty and blue, was the Earth. I put up my thumb and shut one eye, and my thumb blotted out the planet Earth. I didn't feel like a giant. I felt very, very small.
