I've recently noticed that Asian people of all ages and in America, always stare at each other. It doesn't matter what the place is. It could be at the grocery store, a fast food restaurant, when you get a haircut, or even in your own neighborhood. I've had plenty of experience.
A few months ago some new people moved into the house across the street from mine. At first I was curious to find out who had moved in. I would often see a really rich looking car driving down the road to the house as I walk home from school. After a few weeks I started to notice that it was just one man living alone. I didn't know what the man looked like. All I kept seeing was a shadow. Then, one day as I came home from my piano lesson, the man was outside mowing his lawn. I saw him for the first time and the first thought that came to my head was “It's an ASIAN!” I ran inside to tell my dad, and he was quite interested. We later found out that he had a wife and children.
Not only do Asians stare at each other, they also ask each other where they're from. For example, me and family have this barber shop we always like to go to to get our hair done. There are two Asian women that work there. Whenever we go to get a haircut, we always somehow manage to get the Asian woman that cuts our hair. Not the other women who aren't Asian. It might just be a coincidence. Anyways, once my dad got one of the Asian women to cut his hair, and it was her first time meeting him. So she asks, “Are you from Chinese?” If the women had asked me that I would've laughed quietly because of her English.
One time the other Asian women asked me, “Wha part of China are you fwom?” As always I would say, “I was born in America.” Usually other Asian women would stop there and ask me no more questions, but this woman kept asking me questions. “Do you have broder or seestah?” and “Wha grade you in?”
Me and my dad often say that if an Asian stares at us we would say “Hi” and wave,only if we were happy. If we were angry we would say “What are you looking at?” Usually when an Asian stares at me, I just stare back at them and do nothing.
I've always wondered why Asians stare at other Asians. Is it because Asians never see other Asians in America? America has became very diverse over the years, so I don't see why. I think it's because Asians just get surprised when they see another Asian in America. Other people might have a different reason why. Maybe they stare because of their beauty, their ugliness, or maybe the person is not staring at the other person. Maybe the person their staring at is actually staring at the person's yummy cookie in their hand, and is craving that cookie. Who knows?
I am not trying to be racist. I'm just trying to explain my opinion.
