Good-Bye,I Love You
"Well. It's good to see you again Skye," Mrs.Ross greeted me.
"You too Mrs.Ross." I replied as I walked upstairs.
This is going to be great. Staying with Jake was the best.He pulled me around to look in my eyes.He put his arms around my waist. I put my arms around his neck.He leaned in to kiss me,but I stopped him. "Jake. I love you.More than life its self. But promise me this. Promise that no matter what you do. That you know I'll always love you." I had to tell him the little part of it.
"What are you saying?" He asked me.
"I'm saying that if something happens to us. That I'll always love you." I replied
"I love you Skye."
"I know you do."
We stayed like that for a while. Just staring at each other.I felt tired so I moved toward his bedroom a little.He got that I was tired and opened his door.He pulled his shoes off and laid down on his bed.I took my shoes off and laid next to him.I stared into his eyes.My eyes slowly fluttered closed.
The dream returned sadly. The figures were coming closer and closer.I screamed this time.I tried to find something to throw at them,but there was nothing.Then I thought about last time. They were trying to warn me about something.
"What are you warning me about?" I said confidently.
"Skye?" A man's voice said.
"Dad!?" I said. Worried.
"Skye! I've missed you!"
The figures came closer.I couldn't believe that it was my Dad.Then I remembered everything.Many flashbacks came quickly reminding me of all the fun times that we had together.I wanted to hug him and tell him I missed him a whole bunch,but I couldn't feel my voice.I couldn't talk.
That's when I sat up.Thank god you're still asleep Jake.I climbed out of the bed and put on my shoes.I grabbed my bag and found a pen and notebook.I wrote Jake a note.
Dear Jake,
I'm running away from my nightmare.I will find
a very safe place to stay. I don't know when I will return,
but if you find me, then we'll run away forever.

I put the note on his desk so he would find it.I headed out his bedroom door quietly.I didn't know where I was going.I walked out the front door and ran towards the woods.I looked down at my watch while I was still in the street light. It was two-thirty in the morning.I found myself surrounded by the dark pine trees.
Suddenly, I heard footsteps following behind me. I quickly tried to hurry up.I began to walk faster and faster.The footsteps were speeding up with me.I ran even faster. My usually inactive body wasn't allowing me to breathe easily.I kept tripping over and over again.I finally lost the footsteps behind me.I stopped to catch my breath, but then I heard some strange voices talking in a field just a good 10 feet away.
I walked into the strange field.The moonlight lit it up so I could see very well.I saw what looked to be two boys about the age of 14 standing there talking to each other.The tallest one had sandy blonde hair and the shortest one had sleek black hair.
"Why must you take things from me?" The black-haired one said.
"Because you're my brother." The tall one said.
"But I love her!"
"Yes, but she loves me!"
"Prove it Jay!"
"I will Lee!"
Jay? Lee? Jason and Jake? No! No it can't be! I screamed that in my head over and over again.I ran out into the field.They both turned and looked at me.It was Jake and Jason! Jason turned and looked at me.He had an evil looking smile on his face.Jake looked like he were in pain.He ran towards me.I was dazed and disoriented.My legs started to shake and I fell. My eyes shut and all I saw was me and Jake in a field. All alone laying in the swaying grass. The last words I heard were what Jake had said, "Skye?! No! Come on Jay! Let's get her out of the cold.Back to my room."

I heard mumbling around me.My eyes came open so fast that I had to wait a few minutes to actually see everything.Surprisingly,I was in Jake's bedroom again.I looked up to see Jason string at me.His blonde hair was sticking out in every direction.Jake came in and let out a sigh of relief.He walked over to where I was laying down."Hey Skye.You okay?" Jake said with concern in is voice.I nodded my head yes.He sighed with relief.I smiled up at him.I had so many questions to ask him and Jason.
Jake looked down at me momentarily confused. Jason chuckled in the background.I sat up and looked at him.He suddenly stopped when Jake scowled at him.I was shocked that Jake could scare Jason.
"I...I...I don't understand Jake," I stammered.
"What do you mean Skye?" Jake asked me.
"You're in good hands," Jason replied.
"I know that.I mean you two are brothers?" I asked them.
"Yeah. Course we are." Jason said.
"What? How?" I was too confused to say more than that.
"I'm sorry for hiding this from you Skye," Jake comforted me.
I stood up right then. Jake backed away out of my path and Jason just stared. I touched the side of Jake's face and kissed him lightly on the lips. I tried to pull away but he wouldn't let me.When he let me go I whispered, " Remember me always. Your soul mate." I backed away and he froze. His sky-blue eyes widened as did Jason's light green eyes. I was even more shocked when I saw Jake start to cry. He fell to the floor and I heard his broken sobs. I'm hurting him even more than I thought.I said those same words over and over again in my head. I couldn't bare to see him like this. I grabbed my bag and headed out the door.
I gave the each one last look and left. I ran down the stairs as fast as I could, almost tripping a few times. I knew it was wrong to leave Jake like that, but it was the only way for me to never hurt him again.I wished I would have said good-bye, but I had wasted enough time already.I ran back into the woods to search for the familiar-looking field that I saw Jake and Jason standing in.
I hated leaving them,but this was what I had to do.I looked down at my watch.Great.Five o'clock in the morning.I thought.My mom was going to pick me up around six o'clock in the afternoon.That meant I had thirteen hours to find what I needed to find.I looked around the barely lit forest. I tripped over something hard and hit the ground face-first.I screamed when someone touched my back.I felt fingertips tracing my spine.They grabbed my arm and pulled me up.
It wasn't anybody I knew, but for some reason I felt like I knew them.I felt as if I was remembering something I had forgotten a long time ago.I was trapped in a tight hug."Skye!" That's when I knew it was Marcus.I shoved him away."Hey! What the heck man?" He shouted at me.I growled at him and he backed away. "Chill! Jake told me to find you!" That's when I lost it. I pushed him down on the ground and placed my foot gently on his stomach.
"I'm not coming back! Okay?" I shouted at him.
"Okay. But why?" He asked.
"Because I need to find someone. Okay?"
"Okay. But what do I tell Jake?"
"Tell him you never found me!"
"One last thing."
"What!?"
"I won't forget you little sis." He smiled.
I smiled back at him and pulled him off of the ground.I wish I could explain all of this to him, but I didn't even understand it.I sighed and gave him a hug.I looked at him one more time and walked away.I never wanted him to be in any of this mess. I kind of knew that Jake might call Marcus or even worse, Mom.
I walked toward the field again.Hoping not to trip on anything.I was tired of thinking that I could have lived a happy life with Jake.Right now, all I wanted to think was that I was going to have a future.What if the people I were looking for were all monsters.Like the monsters that little kids were afraid of. The monsters you read about in books.
I continued my walking until I got into the center of the field.I was surrounded by tall grass and trees.The field was lit up by the eerie moon light.I thought it looked strange enough to be fake.
