Is it considered plagiarism if you take one or two lines from a lot of different songs and combine them?
Your monthly Bible quote: "Faithful are the wounds of a friend; but the kisses of an enemy are decietful." Proverbs 27:6

Yes.

You are essentially taking work from many different people and smashing it together. It's bad if someone plagiarise from one person, but from many people is even worse.

So yeah, don't do that. :P

If you take one or two lines from a song and then put it in quotes ("__") it's okay, but smashing a lot of lyrics into a piece and then calling it your own would not be good.

:P To echo Jon-- don't do that.
"Let's eat, Grandma!" as opposed to "Let's eat Grandma!": punctuation saves lives.

just wondering. :( I wanted to check before I did. I'll start singing a song, then suddenly switch off into another song, sometimes by a completely different artist/band.

Well, if you're just singing a song to yourself, I really wouldn't worry about plagarism. =) As long as you're not presenting other people's work as your own, it;s no problem.
I wrote the above just for you.

Hmm, if you told everyone it was your own, yes. If you told who wrote EACH single line, no. And hopefully I'm guessing that's what you're doing.
