You are essentially taking work from many different people and smashing it together. It's bad if someone plagiarise from one person, but from many people is even worse.
If you take one or two lines from a song and then put it in quotes ("__") it's okay, but smashing a lot of lyrics into a piece and then calling it your own would not be good.
To echo Jon-- don't do that.

Well, if you're just singing a song to yourself, I really wouldn't worry about plagarism. =) As long as you're not presenting other people's work as your own, it;s no problem.
