JUST FOR U

You are my best friend
I know you will be there till the end
I tell you stuff all the time
Every now and then I may seem like a mime
We've known each other since we were eight
Its been so long I don't even remember the date
You are there through thick and thin
Even when I feel like giving in
Listening to me whine and complain
i must sound so very lame
We laugh until we cry
Sometimes we don't even know why
You are so clever
And i will love you forever
I know you will be there till the end
You are my best friend

it's a cool idea, and the sentiment is there, but it seems awful basic. the rhymes are a little forced, and i think you should keep the idea but tweak it so the lines don't rhyme, as i personally think emotional poetry is better this way. i like how you say "it's been solong i can't remember the date" - my best friend ross and i are like that. keep working on it.

I always knew that deep down in every human heart, there is mercy and generosity. No one is born hating another person because of the color of his skin, or his background, or his religion. People must learn to hate, and if they can learn to hate, they can be taught to love, for love comes more naturally to the human heart than its opposite.
