the wind blows through your hair and your mind
and it feels like breath of fresh air
but you don't want to be blown away like all the rest

there are days when you feel like screaming
when you wake up in the morning and you can't
find your keys, and your hair just won't negotiate
but you always recover and start again

but at the back of your head, you know
that if the wind changes direction
and you're thrown off course once more
this time it would make you fall further and longer

the light at the end of the tunnel likes to fade
then brighten, get your hopes up, let them down
fate is intransigent and love is long dead
your heart is broken and your soul is tainted
your confidence is shattered

but something is still ticking
because you're still floating gradually forwards

For some reason, this poem reminded me of a movie and my mom. I think the losing the keys part...well, the whole second stanza. It's like you know my mom. Well, now that I've read it again the whole poem reminds me of my mom. o.O Jack, do you know my mom?
when there's nowhere to go, it's time to grow up.
